Fabulous cottage.. great location, spacious with everything you need for a vacation. It was our second time at the cottage and have already booked to return. Twin bed mattress (nearest to door) could be updated, but by no means uncomfortable…

Wonderful Stay

Wonderful stay at Callow Cottage, very clean and tidy and lovely inside. However, the main bedroom at the top, the bed was very uncomfortable and I think broken as very creaky just by sitting on it and it effected sleep. The sofa was also abit uncomfortable as it’s quite low and kept separating. But I would definitely come back and stay here as my family and I had a lovely stay and the location to everywhere was perfect!!

Fabulous stay

Brilliant location. Pretty little cottage with everything you need for a short break. Few mins walk - about 3 - from the town and a gorgeous gastro pub next door.

Bourton on the water cottage

This was one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. Very close to the village centre so no need to use car The car park in front is a little tight for two cars but just about OK.

Fabulous Cottage

This cottage is fabulously clean and in a great location. Spacious and perfect for a mini break. We were a party of five and it was perfect. Car parking is a little bit tight, but 2 cars doable. We’ve already booked to go again.

Callow Cottage Bourton on the Water

Property is in a fantastic location - so near the town centre. Excellent sizeable house. However it lacks attention to detail i.e. very uncomfortable setee, poor TV signal, wobbly toilet seat, windows need cleaning, back gate bolt does not fit. Attend to these and you would have had a 5* star rating

Family holiday

A lovely stay at Callow Cottage with family. Perfect location for exploring the town and nearby tourist attractions. The house had everything we needed with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge for relaxing together. The communication from the booking process to check out was excellent and when we had a problem with a broken toilet they sent someone to fix it immediately.

This property was in a fantastic location. Just a few minute walk to town. Having convenient parking right in front of the house was great. The unit was comfortable and had most of what we needed as a family of six. We had a few issues with the bathrooms-only one shower could be used at a time, if someone was using the shower downstairs there was no water pressure in the rest of the house. We also had an issue with the washer/dryer combo-every time we’d run a dryer cycle it would leave the clothes dripping wet. Despite these couple issues, we had a fantastic stay and I’d recommend Callow Cottage for a holiday in the Cotswolds.

Perfect location, family-friendly

We had a wonderful one-week stay at the cottage with two young children. The location is perfect, and there is so much to explore within walking distance. The layout of the cottage is very family-friendly—our children spent hours playing in the courtyard while we relaxed in the sitting room. The neighbors were very welcoming and helpful, too!

Toilet had a leak due to a much needed new wax ring. So couldn't use it. Tile work in bathroom has never been cleaned so is discoloured. Yard is unkept, lock for fence not operable (doesn't lineup). Great location in town with a short walk into the town centre, beds comfortable. Wi-Fi enabled.

Great place to stay in Bourton on the Water

Really enjoyed staying here, lovely house and brilliant location. Would have appreciated information on bins and recycling. Highchair was very dirty when we arrived but everything else was very clean.

Well equipped, warm cottage with brilliant access to Bourton on the water

We had a lovely stay at callow cottage, the property is warm and comfortable with good sized bedrooms. The driveway is tight for two cars but achievable and the parking is really useful. Bourton and the surrounding areas are beautiful and we enjoyed several walks from the doorstep. The only improvement required is tightening up the washers in the top bedroom shower as they leaked significantly. Thanks for a great week!

Family hols

Really enjoyed our stay only downside was not being able to use the tv as it had no signal. We were notified to a problem with the en suite toilet flash before our arrival but a plumber was on site within 2 hours and had sorted it. Very good service.

Cotswolds comfort

We enjoyed the house. There was plenty of room for everyone. Adequate crockery and cutlery. Possibly could do with more water glasses and wine flutes. Only thing I personally didn’t like was all the clears tools, broom, mop, vac etc was just sat in the kitchen.

Great Location

Callow Cottage is located within a short walking distance to the village with shops and restaurants. Taking walks around town and through the side public paths were really nice. However, the beds in the master bedroom and 2nd level queen bedroom were incredibly rickety and loud- they cracked and squeaked every time we moved. We tried to find tools to tighten the hardware, as the joints were loose, but could not find anything in the home. Overall, we enjoyed the space, amenities, location, and would recommend staying there (if the beds are fixed).

Mini break with my sisters

Lovely property. My only points would be that it would have been helpful to have a bit more info about long term parking. We had three cars as we were all coming from different parts of the country. We were told that there was 'plenty of parking on the main street'. However there was only parking for 90 mins and no return. We ended up using an app and parking the extra car on someone's drive. A minor point also on recycling - notes in the folder would have been helpful. Lovely warm and clean house though and perfect location.

A great location to explore the Cotswolds.

Main problem was that you could only use one bathroom at a time as the water in the top floor shower would completely stop if somebody was using the bath or shower below. Very inconvenient when everyone is getting ready to go out. Windows extremely dirty at the back. Two big stains on the sofa and some of the bedroom doors won’t close. Apart from that the house was well equipped, milk in the fridge on arrival, biscuits, plenty of coffee capsules for the machine. Prompt reply when informed about the stains on our arrival. Great local bus service.

The Stuff Of Dreams…

I’ve had this vision in my head of a place that is other-worldly to my Chicago home. I didn’t think it was an American place, even in our oldest states this was more established. Then I randomly stumbled upon the Cotswolds. Stone bridges? Yup. Cute shoppes spelled “shoppes”. Yes. Stretch goal of incredibly kind people and amazing food? Nailed it. And this little cottage was our perfect home. It was three of us old friends traveling together and like all creatures in 3’s we had different needs. This place was perfect. The kitchen is adorable and really well appointed. I wished I had stayed to bake something! The living/dining room was spacious for our needs - and the furniture was comfy. The little patio allowed us to enjoy surprisingly good weather in an indoor/outdoor flow. Each bedroom was spacious and had everything at hand. I was thinking, “there must be a hairdryer”, opened a drawer and there it was. The beds were comfortable and clean. Each was simply but cutely furnished. The cottage is situated a short distance from town center, but far enough that there isn’t a lot of foot traffic nearby. Also, The Mouse Trap pub just a few doors down has incredible food and we later heard it’s quite well known. The only (slight) negative was that we had trouble with the gatelock and tried to contact someone and wasn’t able to do so. Fortunately, we figured it out. I just loved everything about it. Thank you to our gracious hosts.

Superb Cottage

Hermosa casa, muy bien equipada con todas las comodidades y muy limpia. Tiene estacionamiento privado en la puerta. La ubicación es excelente. La casa esta a 300 mts del centro de Bourton on the water y es un lugar muy bueno para hacer base y recorrer los Costwolds.
