We had a wonderful Christmas stay at this charming cottage, perfectly situated just a short stroll from Torquay Harbour. The accommodation was spotless, neatly presented, and ideal for a couple or a solo traveller with a dog. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics needed for simple, everyday cooking, which made settling in very easy.Do note that the cottage is accessed via a small courtyard and a short flight of stairs, and the bathroom is upstairs with the bedrooms via a narrow staircase—something to keep in mind for anyone with mobility concerns. Inside, the space is cosy and welcoming, with the entrance leading straight into the kitchen. The mattresses were a little firmer than my personal preference, but certainly better firm than too soft. For us, the location was absolutely perfect—close to family we were visiting for Christmas, with a lovely park just five minutes away for our dog, and the harbour promenade equally close for relaxed holiday walks. Our host, Joff, was fantastic: quick to respond to any questions and incredibly thoughtful. We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine and biscuits, and even found milk sachets in the fridge so we could enjoy a cuppa the moment we walked in.Overall, the cottage suited our needs beautifully and made for a delightful festive stay.
