About this property

Little Nook

Summary:

Nestled just a 15-minute walk from the vibrant heart of St Ives, Little Nook is a beautifully modernised ground-floor apartment offering a peaceful retreat close to Cornwall’s stunning beaches, galleries, shops and restaurants.

The Space:

Recently updated throughout, the apartment features a stylish new kitchen and refreshed interiors, creating a comfortable and contemporary space perfect for families, couples or small groups. Sleeping up to five guests, Little Nook offers a cosy living area complete with a comfortable sofa bed, additional sofa and flat-screen TV — ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the coast.

The newly fitted kitchen is well equipped for a self-catering stay and includes a breakfast bar for relaxed dining. The property also benefits from a spacious master bedroom, a single bedroom, and a modern family bathroom with both a separate bath and shower.

Guests can enjoy superfast unlimited WiFi throughout the property.

Parking is available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis, though spaces cannot be guaranteed.

Guest Access:

Prior to check-in, guests will be given a access code which is unique to their person. Just type in the numbers, wait for the beep, and try the handle - it is that easy!

The Neighborhood:

In a quiet residential area, Little Nook is a mere 15 minute stroll down to the St Ives wharf, boasting beautiful shops and independent cafes and restaurants. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy town, and dawdle back to the Little Nook for a quaint evening, taking advantage of the outdoor communal spaces, with a glass of wine to hand. Please be aware that the Little Nook is adjacent to residential housing, so we ask that guests are respectful in later hours.

For more inspiration, please explore our Creek and Country Journal, found on the website.

Getting Around:

As guests come to the main road from the Nook, bus stops can be located on the left of you, and guests can journey on the number 11 bus to the St Ives harbour stretch.

Garrack Hotel Bus Stop (0.1mi) - take the number 11 bus to the end of the route.

St Ives Train Station (0.8mi) - follow the coast to St Erth, where the main Great Western Railway route can be picked up and guests can journey to different areas of county and past the Tamar bridge.

Towns and Villages surrounding St Ives are easily accessible, however during the busy seasons, traffic is inevitable and roads can become clogged quickly.

Other Things to Note:

Please note that the property is located on the same grounds as The Nook which is a property offering self serviced accommodation. Parking is shared with this property along with the neighboring apartment 'Another Nook'.

Guests also have access to the shared garden and gravelled area.

Interaction with Guests:

The team at Creek and Country are available to assist with any queries or to offer any Cornish inspiration to weary travellers. If there is an emergency outside of our office hours please call the number provided and a member of staff will be able to assist.

We recently stayed at The Nook for a few days and, overall, had a pleasant stay, although there are a few areas that could be improved. The apartment is quaint with an unusual but well-designed layout, and it felt spacious throughout. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, with great appliances, a large fridge freezer and a washing machine. The beds were extremely comfortable, the lounge was cosy, and having TVs with Netflix in both bedrooms was a lovely touch. The bathroom was also very nice, with a large bath, and aside from the toilet on arrival, the apartment was clean. The location is excellent and close to the beach. The garden is a fantastic size but felt rather neglected, and some seating would make it much more inviting. Finding the property was stressful as we were only given half the postcode, so clearer directions would be appreciated. The toilet flush was very weak, and there were stains in the toilet when we arrived. The shower had good pressure, but the shower head wouldn’t stay in position. The touchscreen keypad was also difficult to use, especially with the stiff front door. The Wi-Fi was patchy and only worked reliably in parts of the apartment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but felt it was a little expensive for the current standard and didn’t quite match the photos and description. With a few improvements, it could be a really lovely place to stay.
