Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow

Northern Traditions - Deer Hollow and Loon Lodge; both cabins are listed on this website and are located adjacent to each other on the beautiful, 3300 acre Long Lake in Washburn county, the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin.' These well-appointed cabins provide a home away from home retreat without compromising any comforts.

Deer Hollow has five bedrooms and three and a half baths; Loon Lodge has five bedrooms and three and a half baths. Each cabin has a full kitchen up and down. Cabins can be rented individually or together for the Wisconsin family vacation of a lifetime.

The cabin comes with a Lund Boat with a 15 HP motor and trolling motor. ( Note docks and boats are out of the water by Oct 15 each year for winter.)

If your traditional Wisconsin vacation has been threatened due to resorts going Condo or sold to private owners, Northern Traditions is your answer.

Private three acre lot, log-cabin construction, large decks, spacious screened in porches, deep water docks, excellent fishing and water sports... these cabins were constructed with both the fishermen and the family in mind.

Amazing property! Located on the lake with numerous amenities and nearby places to eat/drink. Home is large with 2 porches. Plenty of space! Fishing is very good. Great docks and fire pit area. Well equipped kitchen.

Enjoyed our Long Lake Golf weekend

The house is very well appointed with plenty room. It has 5 bedrooms and I think 3 bathrooms so it can handle a lot of people. The house is very nice and clean.

Family Time

The cabin was great for our extended family to spend time together. Plenty of space to gather, and enough rooms to spread out. The cabin had everything we needed. The only thing was not being able to swim right at the shore but the sand bar nearby was a great place to take the little ones. Would love to go back!

Always a Great Stay on Long Lake

This property is so clean, cozy, and well appointed. The house has everything you need to enjoy the beautiful lake and surrounding area. The beautiful fireplace and views are amazing. The new updates to the basement were enjoyed by all. Our family lives stating here and we are thankful to the family and property manager who make everything easy and enjoyable. Beautiful Long Lake retreat

Didn’t Disappoint!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Deer Hollow. It was as wonderful as the first time. Everything was very clean and well kept. The grounds are great. We enjoyed bonfires at night. The appliances were updated and there was new patio furniture in the screen house. I would encourage anyone to make this their vacation destination.

Long Lake Cabin

What t perfect vacation week in a fantastic house! The cabin has everything you need for a great vacation. Extremely clean( and I’m really picky about cleanliness!)and has everything you need or want. We cooked every meal , used the Weber charcoal grills, had night time campfires and s’mores. We brought our own boat and enjoyed water sports and fishing on beautiful Long Lake. Will definitely be returning’ Lori the property manager is very friendly and welcoming and meets you at the cabin and answers any questions. Rich is very prompt And helpful with reservations.

Annual fishing trip

Check in with Laurie was excellent. Dock space and parking space is a problem when all people staying at the property are fisherman with trucks and boats. Property is clean, neat, excellently maintained and more structured for a large family and relative vacation than just hosting fisherman. A gas grill would be nice in place of charcoal. The property itself is first class! The offsite parking for boat trailers arranged by Laurie worked well and we thank her.

A luxury cabin with lake view

A luxury cabin with wooded walls all over. Super spacious. Enjoyed the beautiful deck overlooking the beautiful lake and the gorgeous trees.We were there for the new year celebration. The lake was frozen enough for all of us to skate around on our boots ;). It was a great experience. We will definitely book again.While you take bath make sure you plan with gab between families so there is enough hot water for all.We were not successful in lighting the wood fire place. We might be doing something wrong. Ofcourse the central heat kept the House warm. There is a gas fire place in the first floor though.

It was clean and cozy. First place we stayed in 30 years of doing our Girls weekends that we have to bring our own towels for bath and kitchen.Also need to have some main spices in the kitchen other just salt and pepper.

Our stay at Northern Traditions was once again great! As repeat vacationers/customers, we knew what to expect; a clean, well appointed house, well maintained piers for our multiple boats, fish to catch, a clean and well appointed fish cleaning house, and easy, pleasant communication with the property manager and host. We got just what we were looking for. (Well, there can always be more fish to catch. But, as far as we know, our host does not have control over that.)The only thing new this year was the need to park our boat trailers off site. Good directions to the field a couple miles away were provided. Trailers did sink into the lawn a bit due to the rain. But nothing that wasn't manageable.
