Percy’s Cottage is a charming retreat set in the scenic village of Castleton, nestled in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.. Ground Floor:

Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Welcome pack. Back garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. Percy’s Cottage, lovingly renovated in 2024, combines traditional charm with modern comfort. Built from the region’s iconic honey-coloured sandstone, this delightful cottage retains many original features, including beamed ceilings and wooden panelled walls. Once the childhood home of the current owner, it’s filled with nostalgic treasures like a traditional butter churner and a vintage charcoal-heated iron, adding character to the cosy interiors. The lounge is centred around a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting space to relax. It flows into the dining area, perfect for sharing meals by the fire’s glow. The well-equipped kitchen features modern appliances and a breakfast bar for leisurely mornings. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath is also located on the ground floor.
Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms with versatile zip-and-link beds can be configured as twin singles or super king. The first bedroom is on the first floor, while a steep, narrow staircase leads to the second bedroom tucked under the eaves. This charming space boasts large exposed beams and Velux windows, offering views of the surrounding moorland. Outside, a petite enclosed garden with a patio and seating area which invites you to unwind in peaceful surroundings.
