This is a great base to explore Cockermouth and the North Lakes.
There is a pleasant walk into the centre of town where there is a good mix of local shops, restaurants etc. The house has been recently refurbished and is clean, comfortable and well maintained.

This was great place to stay in Cockermouth
This was great place to stay in Cockermouth. Enclosed garden was good for the dogs. Property was clean and well equipped. Basics such as tea, coffee and milk were provided. Master bedroom was lovely! Only downside was that electricity trips quite frequently and needs to be reset. I would not hesitate to stay here againrecommend Willow Dene.

We stay during Christmas and New Year.
It’s quite nice and cosy just like home. We arrived on 23rd Dec and host allowed us earlier check in. Much appreciated as we were after more than 10 hours fly and 3 hour driving. just felt home to home. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms. Big kitchen link the dinning. Electronic sofa in the living room. Private and comfortable with beautiful views. I love the laundry as well. Definitely, recommend to other travellers.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks.
The location is perfect with walks and parks on your doorstep. The neighbourhood was peaceful and relaxing. We experienced the best sunsets from the house and recommend seeing it from the upstairs balcony with a drink in hand. 7 mins walking distance to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. The house felt like a home, clean and all mod cons. Off road parking and a lovely garden. The host was very helpful and responsive. We loved it that much we stayed an extra night and have already booked again.
