Pimpernel, Cottage Holidays Blakeney, courtyard, Quay, 2 bed iconic position
Pimpernel cottage is small & compact. Please contact me before booking . The third of our trio of beautiful bijou boltholes in Blakeney. A log burner to lay in-front of after those brisk walks along the coastal trail thawing out on the sofa with your best friends enjoying a mug or glass of something... seems the most perfect thing to do!
Pimpernel has an open plan layout downstairs and everything you'd need from a bolthole. 2 seater leather sofa and an arm chair. The small kitchen is well stocked with a dining table & chairs. The upstairs has 2 compact bedrooms, a kingsize divan and a single bed in room 2. (sleeps 3) hanging space, drawers and a newly fitted shower room.
Pimpernel does have a Norfolk winder staircase, not ideal for everyone! We have upgraded the safety of the staircase and now has a good hand rail and painted treads. Please think of this before you book. There's outside seating in the shared walled courtyard. Folks coffee opposite and the Kings Arms pub too! Only 50 metres to the quayside and coastal trail.
Pimpernel doesn't have parking but Westgate street does have a few handy parking bays for loading & unloading opposite. The Village Hall car park is free and just 100 metres away! Never park on the quay as you will flood your car. Pimpernel is on one of Blakeneys busiest streets especially in the warmer months so expect cars, people, deliveries to the convenience store - sells everything you need ! Pimpernel is not up a loke so expect to hear these things on your stay.

We had a lovely stay at this charming little cottage in Blakeney. There were three of us, all adults, and although we were surprised at how much smaller the cottage was than it looked in the pictures, we found that this only added to its cosy character and charm. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of beautiful Blakeney on the North Norfolk coast, with everything within easy walking distance. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the shared courtyard cottage garden and a Sunday roast at the authentically local Kings Arms, just a few doors down. The cottage was clean, comfortable, compact and well equipped. We found everything we needed to prepare a couple of meals in the fun-size kitchen. Check-in was very easy, and the host was great — friendly, helpful and completely no-fuss.The price feels a little high for this kind of accommodation, but reflects the incredible location. Everything is practically on your doorstep. The quay is only a few metres away and can even be seen from the gate. There’s a great coffee shop and shop directly across the road, a bakery nearby, and plenty of places to enjoy lovely local seafood around the quay.A great little base for exploring Blakeney and the surrounding North Norfolk coast. We really enjoyed our stay.
Perfect for a short break! The location of the cottage is unbeatable for the quay, a great pub (King’s Arms) and stunning coastal walks to neighbouring villages (Cley, Morton). We had a fabulous time!
First impressions great, has everything you need, lovely area and locals very friendly. The steep angle of stairs was a problem for us saying that we had a lovely time.Unable to add photos.

I’m sorry you struggled with the stairs, I do always try to urge people to read and look at descriptions and photographs before booking . But by the sounds of it everything else was fine . Thankyou
Nice, well decorated property. Very well equipped in all areas. Stairs might not be for anyone with mobility problems.

Thankyou Jill for your kind words. Indeed Pimpernel does have the Norfolk Winders. I always urge everybody to read through the details before they book .
Brilliant location in centre of Blakeney opposite v friendly coffee shop, fish shop and small supermarket, and short stroll to free parking, marshland and restaurants. Lovely shared courtyard. Bedroom and hence bed, were too small for 2 tall people. A few shower toiletries would have been a nice extra touch.

Thankyou for your short stay Jeremy ,The bed is indeed a double 4 poster as stated in photos and write up .The plan when the windows are replaced later this year is to replace with a kingsize divan, but as you’ve seen from the Norfolk winder staircase it’s not wide enough to get a bed upstairs like that just yet.but I will ! I do always urge everyone to read the itinerary and look at photos . I do offer pump hand soaps and a bar of non purfumed soap.👍

Why they chose this property
I’m a local ! Walking along the quay watching the children crabbing brings back my childhood with my many cousins ,an icecream is a must or a coffee from one of the shops here in the village .Cockling on the mud flats with my nanny back in the 70s and the fair still comes for a few days in the summer. A Birders delight walkers too . Great food in the village all under a 5 min walk !
What makes this property unique
Iconically positioned cottage. Massive Curb appeal and a real cosy cottage on entry
