Welcome to Cois Farraige, a charming detached cottage on the outskirts of the beautiful seaside village of Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, on the Skellings Ring along the famous Wild Atlantic Way. Perfect for families or groups, and with discounted rates for couples, this home offers comfort, convenience, and a touch of Irish charm.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a cosy sitting room with a wood stove and great WiFi, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the area. The cottage has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, including an ensuite, comfortably accommodating families or groups. Utilities Notice: Electricity and oil heating are not included in the nightly rate and are charged based on actual usage via meter readings.

Lovely spacious property in a fantastic location.

We had a fantastic week in Ballinskelligs, the house was spacious and spotless and down the road from a fabulous beach. Very well equipped for a family and Mary was on hand to answer any questions. There is so much to do in the area. We will be back!

Peaceful tranquility

Great location perfect accomodation. Close to amenities beautiful blue beach. Great walking and point for visiting the Skelligs. Lovely contryside. Downside limited restaurants pub does provide food so we unfortunately had to cook each night!! Thank you Helen for your hospitality excellwnt communication. Sorry could not respond to last message - it was a lovely message for our last night. We had a lovely time. You never know but could come back will certainly recommend!

Our week in Ballinskelligs.

Myself, my 18 yr old daughter and 14 yr old son stayed for a week at Cois Farraige. The only blip we had, all week, was when we arrived, and we couldn't get the keys out of the Pin operated Key Box, despite 20 minutes trying to open it. I rang Mary, but as she lived thirty minutes away we had to wait for her to arrive with replacement keys.. Despite this unfortunate start to our holiday, the rest of our week was very enjoyable. The weather was beautiful, warm, sunny and blue skies all week. We all slept well, beds were very comfortable, and the house had everything we needed. The beach is about 500 metres away, so very close, but an uphill walk back to the house. We ate out in John D's Bar in the Ring of Kerry hotel, Cahirciveen, and our favourite was The Blind Piper in Caherdaniel. The food there was outstanding.. Cahirciveen was also the best place for a larger food shop, Supervalu is about 15 minutes away. Our favourite trips were The Skellig Experience boat trip to the Skelligs and climbing Geokaun mountain with its 360° views from Valentia Island. Day trips also to Molls Gap, Derrynane and the Ring of Kerry.. Helen, the owner also contacted me several times by email, so it was great to be in touch. We'll be back again!!

Lovely family home in a beautiful location

We stayed at "Cois Farriage" in Ballinskelligs for a week at the end of August for a 3 generation family holiday. It is a lovely well equipped and spacious family home in a stunning location. It is situated in a very beautiful area with lovely scenery, mainly comprising mountains and sea. The Ring of Kerry must be one of the most beautiful areas in Ireland! The local sandy beaches are lovely and were especially appreciated by our 2 granddaughters, aged 4 & 6. Ideal for swimming, building sandcastles, kite flying, etc. There is a castle ruin on the local beach, which we all enjoyed exploring. There is also a Sunday market near the information centre and cafe by the beach car park within a few minutes walking distance. There is plenty to do in the area with exploring, walking, horse riding, a chocolate factory (with free sampling) which the girls loved, bird watching, etc, etc. The 3 family members in the middle generation climbed Carrauntoohil, the highest mountain in Ireland. They were lucky enough to choose the best day of the week for the climb and came back with some stunning photos. Boat trips are available to various places, but the trip to Skelligs is extremely expensive because of the popularity of the "Star Wars" filming connection. A visit to Valentia Island is well worthwhile. We went across by car ferry and returned over the bridge. However, we did get rather wet walking up to the signal tower at Bray Head and had our picnic sheltering in the tower with cows sheltering outside it! The views were lovely though, with a family run cafe nearby. Mary, who looks after the house for Helen, is a star.and looked after us very well. She was most welcoming and informative. "Cois Farriage" is the ideal peaceful retreat to 'get away from it all' and relax. It is especially suitable for outdoor lovers. We would highly recommend this property and would certainly return if we planned another holiday in this area.

Toller Aufenthalt in wunderschöner Umgebung

Wir hatten 10 fantastische Tage in diesem großzügigen Haus! Die Lage ist super, um Ausflüge auf dem Ring of Kerry zu machen. Wir hatten sehr viel Glück mit dem Wetter und haben uns an den Stränden sogar Sonnenbrand geholt. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist die Bootsfahrt zur Skellig Michael!

Großes Haus mit viel Platz in ruhiger Umgebung.

Angefangen mit schneller Kommunikation beim Buchen und Übersendung exakter Wegbeschreibung hat alles bestens funktioniert. Haus exakt wie beschrieben mit sehr viel Platz. Top eingerichtete Küche mit allem was man braucht. Aufgrund es guten Wetters konnten wir auch den großen Garten und den Grill nutzen. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft schön mit vielen Wandermöglichkeiten und toller Landschaft. Zu empfehlen insbesondere Kerry Cliffs , Valentia Island und eine Bootstour zu den Skelligs. In der Vorsaison ist Ballinskelligs eher ruhig , es gibt zwei Pubs sowie begrenzte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wer gute Restaurants bevorzugt, muss bis Cahirciveen oder Waterville fahren.

Das Haus war groß alles in allem echt super,die Gegend Traumhaft schön.!!!!! Viel zusehen ohne weite strecken zu fahren. Sehr schöner und entspannender Urlaub

Das Dorf bietet nicht viel, vorallem nicht in der Vorsaison. Das Haus ist allerdings mit allem eingerichtet was man benötigt. Die Hausdame, die das Haus betreut steht einem in allen Fragen zur Verfügung. Das Häuschen ist von der Innereinrichtung ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen was unserem Urlaub aber nichts anhaben konnte. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, also hat alles was man braucht. Es sind genügend Betten und Bettzeug vorhanden. Was in der Beschreibung fehlt, sind die anfallenden Nebenkosten für Strom und Öl. Ansonsten war das Häuschen perfekt um die Gegend zu erkunden.

Schöner erholsamer Urlaub

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Cois Farraige. Es war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für alle Ausflüge und man ist auch schnell zu Fuß am Meer. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht und man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben.

Maison idéale pour découvrir le sud du Kerry

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la maison d’Helen qui est idéale pour découvrir le sud du Kerry. La maison est très bien équipée. Nous avons très très bien dormi dans la maison après de longues journées à se promener. La maison se situe seulement à quelques minutes à pieds de la plage où nous avons pu d’ailleurs apercevoir un phoque. Des randonnées sont accessibles de cette plage. La beauté des paysages est incroyable entre mer et montagne. Helen a été prévenante dans les échanges avec nous et a rédigé un petit guide 👌🏻 Nous avons été très bien accueillis sur place par Mary qui avait tout préparé pour notre arrivée. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour.

Immer wieder gerne

Wir fühlen uns im Haus sowie mit Helen und Mary sehr wohl und kommen daher immer wieder gerne nach Ballinskelligs! Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage (nachts hört man vom Garten aus das Meer rauschen und sieht die Milchstraße über sich) und es ist alles da, was man braucht - vom guten Internetanschluss über den Kartoffelstampfer bis hin zur neuen Waschmaschine und dem Treppengitter zum Schutz der Kleinkinder! Sollte es mit irgendwas Probleme geben, wird umgehend für Abhilfe gesorgt. Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal und auch nicht zum letzten Mal da!

Good value house in a lovely location

We had a really lovely stay in Helen’s house, which is exactly as the pictures show. The location is really good for seeing the Skellig ring and there is plenty to do. David from The Force awakens was really helpful, not just for visiting Skellig Michael but also for arranging a fishing trip for us. The house is well equipped and spacious , though the living room only really takes 5 people comfortably. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Wundervoller Urlaub

Ein super schönes Haus in toller Umgebung. Ruhe und Entspannung pur. Helen hat uns gut auf den Aufenthalt vorbereitet. Es gab keine Frage, die sie mir nicht schon vorher beantworten konnte 👍😍. Ausserdem gab es noch viele Tips für tolle Ausflüge. Bei der Ankunft stand eine Flasche Wein für uns bereit und alles war sehr schön vorbereitet. Beim Einchecken gab es keine Wartezeit. Die Tür war schon für uns geöffnet. Mary, die Haushälterin vor Ort hat uns alles telefonisch erklärt, sowohl bei der Ankunft als auch bei der Abreise. Alles sehr unkompliziert und sehr nett und freundlich. Zum Einkaufen fährt man ca.20 Min. in den nächstgrößeren Ort. In Ballunskellug gibt es einen kleinen Laden, wo mann sich auch versorgen kann. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Urlaub mit super Wetter.

Great location as a base to explore the Skelligs and more

Very spacious property inside and out. Easy to book, locate and park. Then able to easily explore the area including Skelligs Ring. Waterville is quite near and some of the beaches and small piers, Derrynane for example are outstanding.
