About this property

Stargaze | Hot Tub Lodge with Fairway Views

A three-bedroom lodge in a quiet, gated community on the Caldecott Hall estate in Fritton, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. The layout is upside down, so the open-plan living space and balcony sit upstairs to make the most of the views across the golf course, with three bedrooms below. There's a private hot tub on the lower deck and underfloor heating for cooler months. The estate pool, golf and restaurant are a short stroll away. Sleeps 6.

Stargaze has an upside-down layout, designed to make the most of the light and the views across the fairways.

Upstairs: living, dining and kitchen
The open-plan living space is the heart of the lodge, with big windows looking out over the golf course. The kitchen is well equipped for family meals, with a dual oven, hob, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, and there's a dining table for everyone. Step out onto the balcony for breakfast or a drink with a view.

Downstairs: bedrooms
All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, which keeps them cool and quiet.
Bedroom 1: king-size bed with en-suite shower room
Bedroom 2: double bed
Bedroom 3: two single beds, good for children or friends
There's also a family bathroom and a separate WC.

Outside
The ground-floor deck has a private hot tub, the perfect spot for stargazing on a clear night. Private parking is included.

Comfortable all year
Underfloor heating keeps the lodge warm in autumn and winter.

Included
Bed linen and bath towels. Each bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash to get you started. A washing machine is provided.

Your hot tub is fully drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh water before every single stay, never just topped up between guests. Together with a full professional clean of the home, this is what the cleaning fee covers. It means every guest gets a fresh, hygienic tub from the moment they arrive. Because it’s refilled for you, the hot tub may need a few hours to reach temperature after check-in.Please bring your own towels or robes for the hot tub, and keep the bath towels for indoors.

The coffee machine takes Nespresso pods, and the washing machine needs your own detergent.
The estate pool has set sessions, and children can usually swim from 10am. Sunday mornings are often busy with lessons, so it's worth checking session times with Caldecott Hall before you go.
Estate facilities are run by Caldecott Hall and charged separately.
The living space is upstairs and the bedrooms are downstairs, so there are stairs between them.

Check-in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10am.
A maximum of 6 guests can stay.
Sorry, no pets.
No smoking or vaping inside the lodge.
No parties or events.
Please keep noise down on the deck and in the hot tub after 10pm, out of respect for our neighbours.

Hot tub
Please shower before using the hot tub.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times in and around the hot tub.
No glass, food, bubble bath, oils or lotions in the hot tub.
Please don't use it after drinking heavily, and check with your doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart or blood-pressure condition.
Put the cover back on and lock it after every use.
The hot tub seats up to 4 people.

ReviewWe had a lovely stay here. The location is great, although you do need to be prepared to drive as it is quite out of the way. There is a lovely local walk through Belton and out to the Burgh Castle, which took us around 2.5 hours round trip. The pub is lovely, although it isn’t open on Monday or Tuesday evenings. We tried to get a grocery shop on the first night, but unfortunately it never arrived, so had to go to the shop which was 10 minute drive. The property was a little dirty when we arrived, but I contacted the host and they rectified this very quickly, which was appreciated. The property is starting to feel a little dated and could do with some general DIY and maintenance. There were quite a few spider webs, the kitchen blind was broken, one of the kitchen cupboards was damaged, and the dishwasher didn’t work particularly well. Some of the outside lights were rusty and a few weren’t working. There is also only one key, which meant going up and down the stairs several times to let people in and out. Having two keys would be a very simple improvement.Overall, though, we had a lovely stay. The location is peaceful, the property has lots of potential, and the host was quick to respond when we raised an issue.
