The Neighborhood:
The building is a few minutes walk from the center of the old Trastevere district. One of the most characteristic and lively areas of Rome. In it you will walk through ancient streets with fantastic restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream parlours, and magnificent monuments such as the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere.
Under the house there are restaurants and pizzerias of great prestige in Rome, as well as supermarkets and all kinds of services.
Crossing the Tevere river, we pass to the traditional neighbourhood of Testaccio, another of the most typically Roman neighbourhoods of the city with its beautiful food market, il Mattatoio and Monte Testaccio.
The area is perfectly connected by bus, tram and train with the rest of Rome and its surroundings.
Getting Around:
Right in front of the building where the apartment is located is Viale Trastevere. There you will find different bus and tram lines that will connect you with the center and other more distant points of Rome when you need it.
It should also be noted that just a 10-minute walk away is the Trastevere train station that connects with Fiumicino airport and other points in the region. If you have time, you have no excuses for not taking advantage of and getting to know the surroundings of the city both in winter and in summer (beach and inland areas included).
If you have arrived by car, the area under the building does not have restrictions to car traffic and street parking is free. You will have no problem finding a free space after 5 in the afternoon. ATTENTION: On Sundays the area around the building becomes pedestrian from 3am to 6pm. You cannot park there. During that time on Sundays, you should park in nearby streets. (Contact me and I'll tell you where). You can also book for an extra price a parking space in the building's underground car park, which also has an electric charging point.
