Idyllic Waterside Georgian Cottage

This historic 19th century cottage in the heart of beautiful Devon is one of the few properties that overlooks the peaceful Grand Western Canal. It sits in its own private spot as a perfect place to use as a launch pad for exploring the rest of the county, as a unique accommodation option if here for an event or work, or as its own blissful vacation spot to rest and recuperate. Whatever you're here for, make sure cream tea is on the menu. The cottage hosts up to four people and is pet friendly. **Launching in July 2025 - new pics coming soon*** Step through the front door into a stylish and cosy sitting room and dining room. In summer, open the stable door and let the warm breeze in while watching the beautiful nature outside. In winter, cosy up to the woodburner with a good book or great movie (there's a selection of both in the cottage). The duck-egg blue kitchen is well equipped for preparing both an excellent cup of coffee or a fancier affair - and anything in between. A laundry/boot room connects to the kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are two chic and snug bedrooms - a double and a twin - with luxurious bedding and wardrobe space; and elegant bathroom with a bath and shower. Outside is a sweeping garden with a colourful rockery flower bed and mature trees overlooking the water. The patio is made for al fresco dining and enjoying the great outdoors in the privacy of your own cottage. Active guests can bring their own kayaks, canoes and paddleboards to take to the canal and explore this corner of Devon by water. For those who love fishing, bring your rods to make the most of the fishing area - perch, roach, tench, pike all abound in the canal. This is also a brilliant place for cyclists. Tiverton Parkway train station is a 5 minute drive away and the M5 is also 5 minutes away if arriving by car. The cottage and garden is of private use for guests.
