About this property

Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins - Glacier Cabin

Glacier Cabin was renovated and opened in 2017. Keeping with the charm of a one room cabin we have a queen bed on the main floor along with a sitting area.  The loft also has a queen bed. To access the loft you must climb a ladder so it is ideal for a family with kids or the nimble!
To add to the charm of days-gone-by the bathroom features a claw-foot bathtub and picture window with views of the forest behind the cabin, ideal soaking after a long hike or ski.
When you arrive you’ll find one of my homemade blueberry breakfast cakes on the dining table and a binder chaulk full of activities to do in the area, hikes with descriptions and distance, and all our favorite restaurants with full menus provided. Not to mention the plethora of discounts available through staying at Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins. To add to that cozy charm we have added personal touches from our own Alaska adventures in the cabin with family photos of fishing, skiing, and hiking.
Glacier Cabin is fully furnished for all your needs and we live next door to our cabins and are here to welcome you and help you plan your adventures.

We stayed in the Glacier Cabin and loved it! The location was beautiful nestled in thick rain forest. Our stay was very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. We would totally recommend it to friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, which was as pictured in the listing. The cabin is a short drive to the Girdwood business area, where there is a grocery store, restaurants, and a trail head. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen area made good use of the space. We really appreciated that coffee and tea was provided.

The cabin was just perfect for us! It was close to everything and it was very quaint. I wish we had more time to spend there. I had everything we needed thank you so much. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is staying in Girdwood

This was a great cabin! Having the loft for extra sleeping was wonderful so my son and I didn’t need to share a bed. The bathroom was lovely and you better believe I took advantage of that large bathtub! The cabin is really spacious for what you get. And it’s right off the main road in Girdwood so would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Great little cabin in the woods. It was perfect for our needs. We appreciated the blackout curtains on every window. The lack of a shower took a little getting used to, but we made the best of it. The whole place was just lovely & on a quiet little street. Thanks for a great stay.

If you are looking for a central location to explore Girdwood, this is a cute little cabin that is clean, has everything you need, and is centrally located. The bathtub was our favorite feature. There are a lot of neighbors around, but if you stick to the backyard, there is a nice bonfire pit surrounded by woods that helps to feel a little more private. The owners are great communicators and have plenty of recommendations. If you are looking for a centrally located place, it’s a good landing spot for your explorations.

Absolutely loved the Glacier Cabin! My only regret is not staying more than 1 night! It for my family of 4 perfectly and the kids really enjoyed the loft area. Thanks for the hospitality!

The cabin was very clean and nice. There were three ring binders with restaurants and activities to do. Easy access to Girdwood, Portage Lake, and Whittier. We would definitely stay here again.

Why they chose this property

We have been looking at this cabin for 20 years wanting to purchase it and it finally came up for sale in 2016. We immediately bought it and went straight to work sanding logs, building bathrooms and adding that touch of home it needed. We love this cabin and are sure you will to.

What makes this property unique

When we refurbished the cabin we added a bathroom in the back of the cabin featuring a claw-foot bathtub for you to soak, and enjoy after a day of adventure. We put a large picture window in the bathroom so you can view the woods while you relax.
