Alan’s place is a cozy cottage in a beautiful location. It sleeps two in a loft, accessed by a ladder, and has a very comfortable main cabin with a piano. We went to the grocery store in Ellsworth ahead of time for breakfast items and this worked well for convenience. We loved coming back to Alan’s place to lounge after hikes! Thank you, Alan!
The property was just as described. It was large enough for 2 people and 2 dogs. We enjoyed the peace and quiet but missed being able to watch Monday night football. Alan was very kind and helpful.
A dreamy place of solace, conscientiousness, and warmth as the entire galaxy awaits you at night and peaceful light emerges in the morning. Alan could make anyone feel right at home - already hoping to come back for a performance at the Music Barn, which is its own delight and space of velvet acoustics. Thank you.
Great location. It was mostly a place to shower and sleep. Make sure you are comfortable with climbing ladder to sleep. Futon would not have been comfortable. I wouldn’t advertise for 4 people. Minor things: coffee can was empty, no pepper. Biggest concern was saw some big spiders which made sleeping on floor mattress uncomfortable. Alan brought us a homemade spray. Very nice man. Beautiful state. We did a lot of hiking and exploring
We loved this cute cottage! It was right down the road from a beautiful path and so close to the park! Great location to explore and come back to! Very adorable place!
The cottage was perfect for our needs. Our son LOVED the grand piano. We enjoyed the newspaper clipping showing the history of the place and all the interesting books. We also appreciate being able to hike nearby. Maine is so beautiful.
My fiance and I had a wonderful time using Alan’s place a home base while we explored Acadia and the surrounding area. There were beautiful trails nearby where we walked our dogs, and the stars from the cabin at night were breath-taking. We’ll definitely be back!
Alan was a fantastic host and showed us around the cottage and also showed us on a map several places to go! The property was so peaceful and cozy, and we had such a nice stay. Highly recommend!
This cottage is wonderful! Clean, well maintained and the property was easy to access between Ellsworth, Acadia, and Bar Harbor. Alan, the property own and host is so kind and easy to reach. We’ll definitely be here again.
Such a lovely stay! Exactly what we needed for day trips into Bar Harbor and Acadia!! Super quiet and neat! Exactly as it was listed online! And the view of the stars from here was absolutely incredible!
