Welcome to your modern steel and glass main house just outside the city of Santa Fe!
Park on the large gravel drive and come through the gate and lush gardens to your private entrance. Relax and unwind as you step into your main room with a 16 X 16' window of stunning high desert views to watch from your comfy sectional. Make whatever your heart desires with a stainless chef's kitchen, large island and all the culinary tools. Eat at the kitchen island, 8' oak dining table or the table and chairs on the private walled patio outside the sliding doors. Take a nap or get some work done in the downstairs guest room with queen bed and large work table. Head up the oak and steel stairs to the loft and luxuriate in your spacious black slate bathroom with large walk-in shower. Stream your favorite movies and series on the 55" flat screen and surround sound in the tv room or rest on your king bed with Avocado mattress in the loft bedroom while watching the stunning views out to the open high desert behind the house. The guest house is attached to the main house on the opposite end of the building by sound-proof walls. (We will let you know if there are vetted tenants in the guest house during your stay.) We will be traveling during the rental window for the main house.

About the host
Hosted by Lisa & Robert GOSPER-ESPINOSA

We are Robert and Lisa, a retired couple who have lived in Santa Fe for 20 years now. Robert is from New Mexico, but left for college, career and adventure to the East Coast and Central America. He was a rare book conservator and woodworker. He still enjoys woodworking in his shop. Lisa is from a military family and was raised all over the US and Germany. She was a public school teacher and pastry chef and still enjoys baking. Both of us also love to cook, read and watch films, but our favorite activity is traveling to be with our kids and grandkids. We like to rent our home when we are traveling, so that others can enjoy the beautiful home and landscape that we love.
Why they chose this property
We think La Cieneguilla -- our little neighborhood just outside of the city of Santa Fe -- has the best of both worlds. We wake to huge skies and miles of high desert behind our house and yet we are only an easy 15-minute drive to town. In addition, we have the best neighbors who enjoy and take care of each other.
What makes this property unique
Our home is a spacious red steel building designed by a sculptor in 2005. The guest house used to be the sculptor's two-story studio -- we turned it into a guest house and installed sound-proof walls between it and the main house.
The main house has large south-facing glass windows which means the home is full of light and views and looks out on the open high desert land behind the house. In addition, the house has a private walled patio again with stunning views.
The main room downstairs has a full stainless chef's kitchen with double oven and Viking stove, a large oak dining table just off the patio and a comfy sectional for lounging. Also downstairs is a guest room with queen bed and work table and a laundry room.
Up the open ash and steel stairs, you'll find your loft study with large work table and tv room with 55" flat screen tv and Stressless leather sofa. On the other side of the loft there is your cozy bedroom with a king bed (Avocado mattress), night stands with reading lamps and closet. The best feature is the beautiful view from the upstairs window to the land, hills and mountains beyond.
Like most of our neighbors, we have an acre of land. We also have an empty lot on one side of the property, lovely neighbors and the house backs up to open high desert land with a gate out to its many paths for walking.
