About this property
The Little Blue Bungalow, a Cozy 1940’ Schoolhouse, 5 min walk to Restaurants,
This 4Br/2ba 1940’s Bamboo Bungalow is located in downtown Mount Dora, Fl . Known for art festivals and for having one of the largest antique flea markets around, Renningers just 3 mins away. The opening of the 429 makes it a quick ride to Disney and Universal. Pet friendly shopping and award winning restaurants are within walking distance with live bands and local beer from Mt. Dora Brew Pub. Catch a play at the Ice House Theatre or watch the sunset by the Lighthouse overlooking Lake Dora.
Take a trip down memory lane as you look around the house and see a mix of antique items I ve hand picked out directly from “Renningers Antique Flea Market” combined with new age decor and furniture. Every room in this vintage home has a Memory foam mattress, towel sets, new pillows and new sheets.
FUN FACT- Neighbors tell me I purchased the first elementary school of Mount Dora which was placed here in the 40 s by a sweet woman named Mrs. Race.
Inside the bamboo surrounded Bungalow you’ll find an open kitchen with all your basic kitchen essential. Open up the first set of French doors which lead to a separate living room or a possible 4th bedroom with a pull out queen-sized sofa bed and a Smart TV. The next set of French doors lead to the back porch equipped with a BBQ grill, lots of greenery and is fenced in. By the garage a mud room with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
In the morning enjoy brunch at “One flight up” overlooking the downtown area. Visit Gilbert Park with the kiddos or take a pontoon boat tour and learn about the history of Mount Dora as it flows down the Dora Canal. Shopping downtown is always fun with so many little shops with antiques to choose from. Walk over to the brewery and later grab a bite at one of the more popular pizza places around, (PizzAmore). So many restaurants to choose from to include Cuban, Italian, British, American, Thai, Mexican…the list goes on. 12 miles away in Apopka, Florida visit one of my favorite places around, Kelly Park Rock Springs. Here you can cruise down an all-natural lazy river with crystal blue waters and some of Florida s natural landscape for a relaxing day out. During the evening of the colder months the functioning fireplace is sure to keep you warm. If you’re in town during the holidays, take a walk downtown and see the many many lights and Christmas décor Mount Dora is also known for.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica Mendoza
Hello travelers from all over,
My name is Jessica and I am a proud Military Veteran. After 10 years of serving my country with the Army (74D) and deploying with the Air Force as a Firefighter, I decided to call Mount Dora, FL, my forever home. I feel like I'm walking in my purpose when I’m traveling or going on a new adventure, so I aim to see at least 3-4 new places each year and make conversations with strangers along the way.
After many years of traveling and calling a "home away from home" my home, I’ve decided to become a host with a few bungalows in the town I call home. Vacation Rentals have given me the opportunity to experience some amazing places like Costa Rica, Iceland, North Carolina, England and Bali, just to name a few. There’s something about occupying or sharing someone’s home while visiting a new country that makes you feel like you never left the comforts of your own home. I hope to give guests the same wonderful and cozy experiences I’ve received each time I booked a trip with VRBO.com
Safe travels to all of my guests,
