Oceanfront Sugar Beach Resort Penthouse 34. Amazing Ocean Views! Remodeled!

Welcome to Sugar Beach Resort Penthouse 34, one of the best ocean view condos in Maui. The top floor lanai is very private and looks out on endless ocean and 5 miles of white sandy beach - perfect for peaceful morning or evening walks. Watch the whales during whale season (January to April) without leaving the residence, and experience some of the best sunsets in Maui from the balcony. The ocean view is spectacular!!

PH34 is rented directly from the owners. The kitchen and bath were completely remodeled in August, 2018 with all new stainless steel appliances and beautiful quartz counters in the kitchen for a very clean and modern feel. It has all new very comfortable furniture including a king size bed with a new mattress and bedding (April, 2018). The sleeper sofa is also new with queen size upgraded mattress for your comfort. The condo also has a smart flat screen TV and a bluetooth JBL speaker for you to easily enjoy music directly from your phone while making dinner in the kitchen and enjoying the view. We have provided free wifi as well for your convenience.

Our condo also has central air conditioning which is rare for maui condos - keep the inside at whatever temperature makes you the most comfortable. The condo is tastefully equipped with everything you will need including boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach towels, beach chairs etc.

The complex has elevators for easy access from the condo to the beach and beautiful oceanfront pool, spa, and BBQs. The grounds are manicured and the grass leads you right to be beach, only steps away. There is an activities booking company in the lobby for you to take advantage of Maui's sights and excursions, or just relax all week and do nothing.

Sugar Beach is conveniently located on the west side of Maui. It is approximately 15 minutes from the airport (and Costco!), 15-20 minutes north of Wailea and 30 minutes south of Kaanapali and Lahaina.

Free parking including covered parking and no resort fees or hidden fees. Finally, please note Sugar Beach Resort closes their pool the second week of September each year for annual maintenance. Please inquire about discounted rates for this week.

Beautiful, quiet property. Loved Dina’s Sandwitch shop and the Sugar Beach Bakery. Location was perfect! Great views with the beach, feet away. The unit was uber clean, watch out for the sliding glass door (too clean/clear you forget it’s there).

Great location for exploring the island

Nice sandy beach and lovely water views. Location for exploring the island is perfect. Great sunsets but due to west-facing, the porch gets quite warm in the afternoons. We went to the pool and sat under the nice roofed area near the water that provided great shade and breezes!Communication with Kevin, the host, was very good. He provided for a late checkout to accommodate our late flight to the next island. The bedroom was large enough to provide for two extra large suitcases and the kitchen allowed for any type of cooking needed.

Sugar Beach memories

Everything was fantastic. The location is amazing and right on the beach. The view from the balcony is stunning and we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of our lives about 45 minutes after I witnessed a whale breach in the distance. The location is very convenient to the airport which is a plus. Kevin is a personable and responsive host. I highly recommend this property for anyone considering the Kihei area.

Hawaii Vacation

The location of the condo was perfect, not quite in Kehei, but close enough to walk into town via the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and private. The views from the Lanai were amazing. The condo was the perfect size for two people and we enjoyed the amenities that came with it. We did find the bathroom/bedroom set up to be a little odd as you had to go through the bath to get to the bedroom, but we made it work.

Perfect Slice of Paradise

We were thrilled with our stay at Sugar Beach! The unit has a gorgeous view, and being on the top floor was lovely. The lanai blocks the afternoon wind, allowing you to still enjoy the sunshine when the winds pick up. The host was super communicative and responsive-we so appreciated him! We will be back as soon as we can.

We are Northern California residents with three kids. My wife and I discovered Maui on our honeymoon in 1997 and we have been vacationing here ever since (as much as possible!). We finally bought our condo in 2018 and immediately purchased all new furniture, rugs, glasses, plates etc. to make it as comfortable as possible, not only for ourselves and family, but also for you.

Why they chose this property

Sugar Beach Resort has some of the best balcony views in Maui and is west facing so the sunsets are breathtaking. The balcony is also very private - you are 100% separated from your neighbors and being on the top floor it is quiet, other than the sound of the waves! We love this property because it is in a very peaceful and quiet area. Oceanfront view condos in Wailea and Makenna generally cost $800-$1200 per night and up. Sugar Beach Resort has equally exceptional views for significantly less money. The beach is also longer than any other white sandy beach in Maui, and most of the beach has no condos or hotels.
