Diana and her guest were the guests every host dream of having! They were so wonderfully respectful and communicated well in advance. They left the place in great condition and were so thoughtful. I would happily host them any time and highly recommend them to all other hosts!
This old and thoughtfully updated carriage house in the West Virginia hills was all we could have hoped for. A/C in every room, comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and two lovely porches for dining or just enjoying the birdsong and breeze. Nancy was very responsive to our requests. Convenient to Charleston and any shopping needs. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area.
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Boho Cottage. It is very clean and tidy, and has good natural light. Very cheery, despite some gloomy weather! All the towels and linens are fresh and very nice quality. There were only 2 of us staying, so we used only the downstairs bedroom- small but comfortable. The room a/c was quiet and kept the house comfortable . There is a good fan in the living room which we used also. We used the lower parking area, since the driveway up to the cottage is quite steep (as mentioned in the description of the cottage). We enjoyed the covered porches and surrounding greenery. We would call attention to the fact that there is no toaster- we missed noticing that on the description. Also, we did not find any foil or plastic wrap. There were no paring or chef's knives, either, something I discovered when trying to cut up an apple! Perhaps the owners would consider providing these items, if not, we wanted to mention them since these items have commonly been found in other Homeaway locations at which we have stayed. Consider bringing your own if you feel you will need them. Despite these minor things, we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend the Boho cottage!

Thank you so much for your kind review and for the excellent care you took with our cottage. Also it's a good idea about the toaster, plastic wrap and foil. The chef knives and pairing knives were located in a crock next to the stove. Sometimes the pairing knives get lost in the crock - smile. Please come again and try out our other 2 cottages @ Old Woodland Acres- Nancy
Perfect halfway point for our yearly high school reunion - 3 forever friends 2 from Indiana - 1 from Virginia. Cottage was charming & decorated to make it so cozy. It had everything we needed & extra touches - muffins - that were so welcoming. Area info provided us with lots of ideas to enjoy in the area. Would highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️
This is our second stay as a group here and we love it. We bring some food and sit and talk for hours at a time. Beds are clean and comfy and it is everything we need. This year weather was great to sit on porch a lot. Thankyou!

Quaint and comfortable great for weekend getaway. Steepness of terrain difficult for some of us with walking problems, made us hesitant to go out and about. Must have overlooked that in description.

First I would like to say that the house we stayed in was very warm, inviting and clean (minus many ladybugs, but they didn't bother us).Now I would like to add that after an 8 plus hour drive counting driveways in order to find the house was not on our bucket list. We pulled up to a very cracked and rocky driveway so close to the road that my sister and I looked at each other in disbelief. The driveway description was misleading in my opinion and after reading the disclosure statement about the owner relinquishing any liability for injury I could clearly see why. We have rented many VRBO's,mainly off the beaten path so being so close to a very busy road was not our thing. All and all though the scenery was beautiful and as mentioned before the inside of the house was very lovely however I don't think we will be returning anytime soon. Thank You~SB
The cottage was very welcoming with fresh muffins and bottled water waiting for us on our arrival. We enjoyed the coziness of the living space and appreciated the use of the fire pit and walking paths in the property Beds were very comfortable and kitchen had all we needed to cook while we were there. Only negative was The traffic on the adjacent rural road was loud at times while sitting on the porch, but fine while indoors Would definitely visit again
Easy check in/out. Owners very responsive. Adorable cottage. First time in this area, directions and recommendations were spot on. Loved this quaint cottage. Perfect Christmas present.
Cabin was very comfortable and clean. Bread was DELICIOUS. Great side porch to sit and enjoy. I even was blessed to be sitting out having coffee and a deer was right up the hill feeding. Was not excited about the traffic but was warned before hand that it was there. Thanks for letting us relax and enjoy.
Had a great visit to Cross Lanes. It is very close to the casino and shopping mall. House is very comfortable. There were three of us and we were very comfortable chatting on the living room, munching in the dining room or preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Enjoyed the porch for morning coffee. Getting into Charleston , the Market and the Clay Center was easy. We were looking forward to Friday night music on the Kanawha River, but weather precluded our outing. So it goes! I would recommend this Boho Cottage if you are planning to see Charleston and visit the casino/ dog track.
