About the host

We've lived in Washington, DC for more than a decade, and love to travel for work and fun. Enjoy yourself in our beautiful city!
Why they chose this property
Getting around
DC is a small city (many of the attractions are within 2.5 miles of our house), and it is generally easy to get around!
Transportation options:
- Since the city is so flat, biking is a great way to see Washington. For short trips, we are two blocks away from a great service called ‘Capital BikeShare.' Hop on one of their bikes and then drop it off at one of the 300 locations around the city 24/7. We have all of our friends and family use this option when they visit and they love it
- DC has an excellent public transportation system. Online maps on public search engines provide excellent public transportation instructions in DC.
- A 10-15 minute walk will get you to NOMA Station - the closest metro/subway station (on the Red line). Alternatively, there are a number of bus stops and routes close to the apartment that can get you all around town.
- Driving is a great way to get to and from Washington and amazing for day trips to Great Falls, Mt. Vernon, Anapolis, or Old Town Alexandria. But if you are heading to the National Mall or to other areas in central DC, it's not the easiest to find parking or get around. Feel free to use the guest parking pass to park on the street.
- Finally, Uber and Lyft are popular car services in D.C. and are quite cheap. Just download the apps on your phone and you can get almost anywhere for less than $15. (For $20 free credit use code FRANKLIN144 for Lyft and for $15 free credit use 94f3o for Uber!)

What makes this property unique
We love our neighborhood and think it has so much to offer to our guests.
We are uniquely located on a quiet street that is a short walk from fun nightlife and restaurants on the H Street Corridor and great food at Union Market.
More information
The Atlas District (also known as the H Street Corridor) is an arts and entertainment district located in the Northeast neighborhood of Washington, DC. It runs along the resurgent H Street Corridor from the outskirts of Union Station to the crossroads of Fifteenth Street, Bladensburg Road, and Florida Avenue.
You can find literally any type of food experience you desire in DC, and almost any type here in our own neighborhood. Many of the best places on H Street are “hidden gems” and not easy to spot from the street. Luckily, we’re here to help! Here are a few of our favorites:
H St. Country Club: Mexican fare, rooftop deck and DC-themed indoor miniature golf; great for families during the day and adults in the evening
Ben’s Chili Bowl: a DC staple, and frequented by celebrities like Former President Obama and Bill Cosby, casual chili and sausage counter; open late-night; must-trys include Chili Cheese Fries and Chili-Cheese Half Smoke
Boundary Road: neighborhood bistro; fine dining with eclectic menu;
