This property was a nice cabin located in a quaint town. We enjoyed hanging out around the town pond letting our kids play on the playground and nearby stream. I'm glad we chose this location rather than Colorado Springs because it was quiet and peaceful. We had one issue with the cleanliness of the toilets and let management know about that. Otherwise, everything else was very clean and we really enjoyed the property.

Yes

We were in the area for a family gathering in the Springs and this cabin proved to be a really great decision. It’s not too far away, & it’s in a beautiful setting. There was plenty of space for all of us, quiet, clean,. Would stay there again!

Great Home in the Mountains

Total experience was on point. The cabin is spacious with plenty of room for the 5 of us. Fireplace was nice for the chilly nights. Great views being up on a mountain. Definitely beats staying at a hotel.

Loved this place!

Chipmunk Cabin was perfect for our fall family getaway! Three generations under one roof with something for everyone. Close to great places to visit such as Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs but still private nestled in the trees. Green Mountain Falls is an idyllic little place. We cooked most meals and kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Be sure to grab breakfast at least once at The Pantry in Green Mountain Falls. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing cabin!

We absolutely LOVED this cozy cabin. It was perfect for our family. The rooms have a great size, everyone had space and the kids room to play. It was very very clean. Location is perfect, there is a Walmart really close by. We had a snow storm during our stay and our car was not all wheel drive but the ride to go up and down wasn’t that bad just needed to be really carefully since there is a bit of a steep hill to go up and down. Only thing missing that we like when we book cabins was a hot tub and a pool table but other than that we definitely recommend this cabin it is great.

Very Disappointing (we left a day early)

This was the last cabin we stayed in during our Colorado trip, and it was a huge let down for several reasons. First, the home was not as clean as I would expect. There were several rather large cobwebs with dead insects in them scattered around the house, as well as dead insects in the windowsills (on the inside, not when the windows were opened. Additionally, the master bed had *several* long brown hairs under the covers that were not ours (which we discovered after we had slept there one night). Second, the home does not have air conditioning, which is fine, except only three of the windows in the entire home were able to be opened. The rest of the windows either had no screens (we tried, there were so many bugs), or would not open. The most worrisome issue with the windows, however, is that several of them did not lock. As this home in one story, it is very easy for someone to break in (my husband attempted it to see how easy it is...it took him all of five minutes). Third, the area surrounding the home was so full of weeds and grown up grass that it was completely unusable, including the fire pit. Weeds are so grown up around the house that they are starting to creep onto the front porch. Finally, the house had a horrible mildew smell that was worse in the basement and never dissipated. One of the recliners is also broken. We actually left a day early because it was unsafe and kind of gross.

Upon entering the cabin we were met with a strong wet dog smell that was persistent throughout the stay- especially in the living room. My husband (who has pet allergies) was unable to even sit on the couch. The floor could use a good scrub. When we wiped up water from the floor the paper towel was disgusting. The ceiling fan in the front bedroom was missing a remote and unable to be used during two hot nights. We found one of two box fans, one of which was broken. We also did not have enough bath towels for the number of people we reported would be staying. We felt the property listing was misleading. The futon/couch pictured is NOT the one that is currently in the basement. The one that was provided was shredded in areas and not a full size bed. The basement does need a good dusting and bug treatment. In addition, the listing says the house is walking distance from the downtown area but fails to mention there is a steep gravel hill to traverse.

Chipmunk Cabin

The cabin and area were wonderful, The cabin was a little smaller than what the pictures looked like, but there was still plenty of room. Only negative was that the gas fireplace in the living room did not work and we couldn’t get any help to fix it.

Perfect spot, and actually more space than needed for our small family. Beautiful scenery, under a 15 minute walk to a nice trail head, and under a 20 minute drive to Colorado springs. If you want a quiet mountain experience without being to far from civilization this is it

Excellent Stay at the Chipmunk Cabin

This was our first trip to Colorado, but definitely not our last. The cabin was incredible and everything from checkin to checkout was smooth. The property was extremely clean and comfortable. Amazing views and an aesthetic/cozy stay, which was perfect for our family vacation. Will definitely be back to Colorado and will stay here again.
