A shorter trip this summer
Overall, we all enjoyed our stay. We are relaxed, it was chilled, we had our own adhoc itinerary with no pressure to see everything. The property was quite querky, very cottagey, quite bijou and compact. There were 3 floors. All the rooms were a good size and we found the beds quite comfortable. The room in the loft was quite warm but we didn't need to use it. There was a nice garden in the back but we unfortunately didn't make use of it. The house is on a hilly and at times it was quite noisey with the cars going up and down the road but we got used to it and it was only really relevant in the daytime and was. Nice and quiet at night.
Not too far from the d-day landing beaches and Caen and Bayeaux and the beaches at Daeuville and Houlgate. Overall a nice experience. Oh forgot to mention our host Raphaellla is very welcoming, warm, and attentive and a very nice lady an person. Thank you for being very helpful and welcoming.

Tastefully but crammed and dusty house with a touch of museum
After a warm and welcoming reception by the owner and a neighbour we had been left alone to get arranged in the small house.
We had difficulties of finding some space for our things in the packed kitchen. Never in live I have found so much crockery and china in one place but only 4 big spoons for 5 people.
There were masses of air refreshers all over the place.
Spider webs and dust were lying at the window sills and mirrors and hanging from the ceiling. But the kitchen surface, the table and machines were clean.
The decoration of the house was done by a person of taste and a feeling for creating atmosphere but why christmas decor and broken books and crockery in the floor?
There were layers of pillows and plaids in the beds, nicely arranged but the very small double bed in the master must have been found at a shop for torture instruments. 2 planks of different hight were replacing the frame at one side of the bed and at the other side you sunk in a hole. The other beds in the house had been in good shape.
The lights at the stairs could been switched only at the first floor between the master and the bathroom. The little night light at the second floor was out of order, difficult at a staircase narrow and uneven like this .
In the living room was a door leading at the backyard, which was a dirty, narrow and wet place with a flight of steps leading at a space with a set of garden chairs and table mostly rotten .
Des voyageurs très sympathiques. Ponctuels. Très bonne communication.

Charming and relaxing
A sweet cottage in the heart of a lovely little village with everything you need. The house is lovely with beautifully made beds and well presented bedrooms. Living areas are just what you would expect for an 18th century cottage and filled with charm. Lots and lots of glasswear displayed so set my heart on edge with a toddler! Some toys in the top bedroom which the children loved playing with and kept them entertained for the afternoons. We would highly recommend particularly families with older children or groups.

A lovely spot in a fine Nomrandy village
There were for of us in Raphaëlla's Victorian house. We loved the charm of the old building, which has a well equipped, up to date kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are cosey, but we all had ample space, with plenty of beds for us with two to spare. Raphaella was the perfect hostess who even had her husband take our luggage up the typical narrow, winding stairs. The village, which surrounded us had everything we needed, including nice restaurants, wine and cheese stores, market, groceries, and a beautiful spa! All within a short walk. The apple cider distillery was fascinating, too.
