Charming Carpinteria Family Beach House

Charming Carpinteria Beach House within walking distance to the beach and downtown. This 2 story 3 bedroom house with gourmet kitchen is perfect for your next family vacation. The home is perfectly located, 1 1/2 blocks to the beach, 1/2 a block to the beautiful Salt Marsh and walking trails & 2 blocks to downtown. Downtown Carpinteria has many shops, restaurants, coffee shops & breweries to enjoy. The kids will love Robitaille's Fine Candy Shop & Rincon Design Surf Shop.


~ Must be at least 30 years of age to rent, and be present during the entire stay; No third party rentals. Minors under 18 can only stay with parent, legal guardian or responsible adult, and must never be left at the property unsupervised.

No Pet and No Smoking violations will result in forfeiture of full deposit and/or immediate termination of rental with No Refund.

Late checkout fees: Renter will be charged $100 for each 30 minutes over the checkout time. Ex. 11:15 AM checkout will be charged $100 per cleaning service agreement. 11:45 AM checkout will be charged $200. This is to ensure the cleaning service has the needed time to clean/sanitize the home before the next guest arrives.

Any renter exceeding the maximum number of 8 occupants as outlined by the City of Carpinteria SVR Code will be charged an additional $100/per night and subject to immediate removal and termination of rental with No Refund.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Clean barbeque if used and ensure propane is turned off.
Turn off gas to indoor and outdoor fireplace if used
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
This is our home and must be left in the condition that you found it. Only rubber spatula's may be used on Viking Chrome Griddle to avoid damage.
Outdoor grill is new and must be left clean to avoid a cleaning fee. Outdoor RING devices are for your protection - no tapering with devices.
A late checkout fee of $100 every 30 minutes over. Occupants are prohibited from making unreasonable noise or disturbances (CMC 14.47.080f.)

We absolutely loved this place! We stayed for 6 days on a family reunion and it was perfect for the 8 persons there. Walking distance to the beach and shops. Lots of room, great kitchen, spacious places to gather, laundry room, fireplace, outdoor shower for cleaning off sand- we couldn't have asked for more. And the hosts were in contact to give recommendations and helpful local info. Highly recommended.

Beach Bungalow in Carpenteria

What a wonderful place to stay! We were here from Colorado for our niece’s destination wedding and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect home away from home! Clean, comfortable, and close to the beach! I would definitely recommend this VRBO if you’re visiting this part of California!

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay in Carpinteria. This home was more spacious than the pictures displayed. It was well supplied and the beds were very comfortable. It was close to the beach and shops.

Can't say enough good things

We loved our stay at Wendi's property. This is our third year in Carpinteria for vacation, our second at this same property. Each trip is better than the last, so many memories at the beach. This home is so great for a family, homey and comfortable vibe. My sisters family and my own stayed for a week. And the double bunk room was perfect for the 4 kids. It has everything you could want and so close to the beach. I would stay every year if we could!

Great Place for a Family

This property was as we hoped it would be. We enjoyed being within walking distance of the beach, the train, the downtown and a children’s playground. The only time we used a car was to get to the Santa Barbara Zoo. Wendi was quick to respond to our questions and very accommodating. We are hoping to return next year. Thank you Wendi for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic Carpinteria Beach Cottage!

We stayed with 7 adults and one infant and had plenty of room. Neat 3 level setup with open spaces to hang out but separate enclaves as well. Great proximity - with an easy walk to a great beach and similar walk to downtown Carpinteria for mix of shops and restaurants. Quick trip to Montecito and Santa Barbara. Super clean and well-organized communication. We'll be back! Highly recommended!!

Amazing rental property

We had a wonderful long weekend in Carpenteria, attending a family wedding. Plenty of room for 6 adults and two toddlers. There is plenty of space with two separate living rooms/den. Well appointed kitchen. Lots of towels. Best VRBO that we have rented yet.

Carpinteria

This was a great home in a super location. Our 1 1/2 block walk to the beach was short and sweet. We were right next to the salt marsh with trails and a small amphitheater that our little girls loved to perform on. The Carpinteria/Santa Barbara/Ojai/Ventura area is full of lots of exploring opportunities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house for a week in May 2025. It is a 5 min walk from the beautiful Carpenteria beach. 15 min walk to many restaurants and shops. The host provided everything we could possibly want from dish soap and scrubbers, paper towels and kitchen towels, to plenty of clean bathroom towels for our large family. There are even boogie boards, sun hats, and beach towels on site. The property is spacious and updated throughout. Best showers we've encountered at a VRBO property in CA. Back patio has some seating and a propane fireplace. We look forward to another opportunity to stay here!

Perfect Home for a Family Getaway!

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home for Thanksgiving week, and it was absolutely perfect for our family. The location couldn't have been better—within walking distance to amazing restaurants and the beach, which made it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer. The house itself was very spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. It was also incredibly clean and well-maintained, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The owner was fantastic with communication, always responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and convenient family getaway, this is the place! We can't wait to return for future vacations. Highly recommend!

Carpinteria family reunion

As a group of seven adults ranging in age from 23 to 66, we all found this property just perfect. Spacious, luminous, very comfortable social spaces, great kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms. The location is perfect--3 blocks from the beach, blocks from the state beach park, and a block from the salt marsh nature area. A shopping area is just a 5 minute drive away. Santa Barbara and other spots (Ventura, Ojai, Ventura) convenient by car. The back patio is great for evening conversations. The owners were friendly and responded to all our questions quickly and helpfully. A lovely place for our family reunion.

Beautiful Beach Home as Advertised!

We are very grateful for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home during our annual thanksgiving vacation in Carpinteria. The home was perfectly located walking distance to all restaurants, beach, and campgrounds. The home is beautifully decorated, fully-stocked with all the essentials, and spacious for a relaxing vacation stay. The kitchen is great with plenty of room for cooking with a large fridge and stove. Our favorite room was a family/tv room where we all had plenty of room to relax and unwind. Every day was capped off by falling asleep to the sound of ocean waves from the master bedroom. Great communication with the owners throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend this property!

Charming home!

Our family had a great stay here. We loved the home and it’s location to the beaches and downtown. Our only suggestion would be to include some more hangers in the closets :) Definitely would stay again!

The Perfect Getaway

We welcomed a new baby earlier this year and have not done any traveling during the pandemic — so we knew we wanted someplace special for the entire family to enjoy. Wendi & Brent’s place was perfect! The house was clean, spacious, well-furnished, and was located close to the Carpinteria City Beach, and Salt Marsh, as well as downtown. It was fun to explore the local area, enjoy takeout from the restaurants, and shop at the farmer’s market. Our hosts thought of everything when it came to amenities (beach hats, chairs, toys, and even Goo Be Gone for the occasional tar from the beach, etc.) and they were extremely responsive when we had any issues (key code and internet outage, etc.). Needless to say, the kids did not want to leave and have already asked for another stay here. I’ve also mentioned this place to other family members and friends… but hopefully, they won’t be fighting us for the same dates :) Thanks so much for opening your beautiful home to us, Wendi & Brent! It was the perfect leisurely vacation we wanted with our young children!

Our home away from home

This is our third year staying at Wendi and Brent's charming beach house, and it never disappoints. The location is, of course, absolutely ideal, and the house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. It's such a pleasure to stay at a rental house with sharp knives and a full spectrum of cooking and baking equipment! We're already counting the weeks until next summer.
