This beach house is unique on the Carpinteria beach with private patios and a front yard on the sand. It is a great place for family and friends to gather and enjoy the best beach in Santa Barbara County. Views of the Santa Barbara Channel Islands, beautiful sunsets and early morning beach walks make a visit here truly special.

The house is spacious and has bed rooms upstairs and downstairs. Family room has a wood burning fireplace. We make this home available when not in use by our family.

Fabulous Beach Getaway!

Our family and friends stayed at this property for some much needed R&R and fellowship. The beach home was perfect for us! We loved walking out on the beach each day for a walk, playing cornhole, making smores at the fireplace, playing games, connecting, grilling, a and hearing the ocean each night as we slept. It was a perfect location and getaway for what we were looking for!

Absolutely Amazing Beachfront!

Loved our stay here- incredible beachfront sunsets and ideal for our family get away. Great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Enclosed outdoor protected porch with bbq. Beach chairs, beach accessories and great floor plan for the family. Highly recommend!

Everything you could possibly need for a fantastic beach vacation!

This beach house was beautiful, fully equipped with everything we needed for a week stay, and a perfect spot on the beach! The gardens were lovely, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio with a glass windbreak and fireplace was perfect for the chilly nights!

Anniversary week

We loved our stay with our entire family, and grandchildren. The beach house is perfect for family and friends to enjoy spending time together. The house is spacious, with great views of the ocean. Well equipped kitchen, entertaining area, tv room and outside grill and fireplace. Just perfect.

Great Location

This home was base for a family vaca on the beach. Loved the location and walkable downtown. The beds are terrific and the home has everything you need. I wished there were better pics of the inside on the profile. It was nicer than I thought it would be and comfy. They thought of everything and the owners were great to communicate with. The very best beach house in Carpinteria!

This was our third time renting this house, and I was once again reminded of why I love it so much. It is spacious without losing its warmth. It has every last thing a family needs to have a great stay, but it is not cluttered. It is in the perfect location. It is extremely clean. The owners are friendly. It is well-appointed, but not too fancy. It feels very much like a home away from home, and we are so grateful for the time that we have spent here making memories.

Finally making it to California!

We had planned a family vacation to the Santa Barbara area in March 2020, which of course had to be canceled. COVID, the death of my mother, and my father's stroke got in the way of going sooner, and I actually wasn't convinced we would be able to go now with all of the rain hitting southern California. I had first seen this place last fall, and kept it in mind, and I am so happy that we decided to go there! Carpinteria is a beautiful, walkable town, and the beach is amazing. Being by the ocean is so special. The home is spacious and owners were very easy to communicate with. We are so glad that we went!

Another great week in Carpinteria

Carpinteria is the best beach vacation spot in California, as far as I'm concerned. We've stayed in this house many times, starting in the 80s, long before upgrades to the current configuration. As many others have said, it's ideal for a family reunion, with four bedrooms, and sleeping up to 10 (four would have to share the downstairs bedroom, equipped with a queen and two twins). The kitchen is terrific, well-equipped and with room for a couple of cooks, but it may be time to upgrade the tile countertop to something more easily cleaned. The beds are better than I had remembered; the ones in our bedroom had memory foam mattress toppers and were quite comfortable. Sheets and towels were good quality. I took away a star because of the gas grill on the patio. I had looked forward to cooking at least a couple of meals on it but it was heavily encrusted with grease and grunge, and I could not get it to light, even after referring to an online manual. The winter beach berm spoiled the ocean view from downstairs but we knew it was going to be in place so it wasn't a surprise. We'd stay again in a heartbeat but would check the grill on arrival.

Super family reunion beachhouse

This wonderful house was a real joy to stay in. Great set up kitchen. Outdoor and indoor dining to choose berween. Excellent wind-protected terrace on the second floor. Just everything that is promised is availee. Wonderful!

Perfect beach get-away

the house was comfortable and spacious, having the beach at your back door is awesome and the walk to town is as easy as the walk on the beach and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Having two refrigerators is a plus along with a gas grill. Had a great time and would do it again!

Fun week in Carp!

The house is perfectly located and has a relaxed vibe. The private-feeling sand area just outside the back slider was perfect for family meals and conversation. On the beach is the place to be! The house is near grocery stores and fun shopping, in addition to the freeway if you want to visit neighboring towns. We had a great vacation! It was perfect!

This was the perfect spot to gather my siblings for a reunion. The house layout worked really well for us. Great ocean-facing deck off the upper floor, the sand right outside the first floor doors, and great wind-protected BBQ area. We were all perfectly comfy and would definitely return!!

Beautiful and Spacious Beach House

Absolutely the best!

If you want a relaxing getaway that can accommodate a large family or group and you love the ocean, it doesn’t get any better than you and this! I’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals from Hawaii and beyond and this was by far my favorite. The communication was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, the furnishings were spot on. I cannot say enough about this property! Thank so much!

I have been enjoying the Carpinteria beach all my life and still find it as one of the best places to be. I am still thrilled to see the marine life such as the coastal bottle nose dolphin, harbor seals, brown pelicans and so many other shore birds that are always around. I enjoy ocean wildlife photography and do have some examples on the walls of our family beach house. The beach is always changing making something new to see each visit.

Why they chose this property

We have had this house in our family since it was built in 1953. Although it has undergone four remodels over the years, it still has the original adobe walls made right in Carpinteria. The house has a charm that is its own.

What makes this property unique

The property is a beach house, not a condo. This makes it more spacious, a lot quieter, with private patios and its own palm frond umbrella in front. The kitchen area is quite large so there is adequate space for a gathering in the kitchen dining area to enjoy. We have rented the house as a vacation rental for decades and have some friends that have rented every year for over 20 years, a testament to its appeal.
