This was a well equipped VRBO on a quiet country road. Everything we wanted to do was within an hour drive. There were many options close for fresh produce.
We planned our entire vacation around one event. We had made reservations at The Sight and Sound Theater. We had reservations for a Thursday afternoon show. The rest of the week we just went in and shopped at local stores, ate at local restaurants and spent a couple of days just relaxing around the cabin. The cabin is very homey and a great place to relax and get away from the daily grind of life. We will definitely stay here again.
This was our third time staying here since January of this year to attend volleyball tournaments at Spooky Nook. It was exactly what we needed. Three athletes and the moms. Much better than staying in a hotel. Space to spread out, a full kitchen to prepare meals to have instead of eating out the whole weekend, definitely more economical to split with three families than individually each staying at hotels for multiple nights. Host was easy to get a hold of and very responsive.
A beautiful home, very comfortable, clean, romantic area. Pitch dark at night but never felt spooked or scared. Just a feeling of relaxations and calmness
This location was perfect for me: rural, quiet, and picturesque. Space with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths made this very comfortable. Seemed like we went to stay with owner's grandparents based upon age of appliances, decorations, and mismatched kitchen dishes and utensils. So would have been happier if the home had been updated a bit more and purged of grandma and grandpa's old stuff.
We found the house very easily with the directions. As we got to the driveway, we were VERY DELIGHTED with the log cabin! The online outside picture does not do justice. The setting is , serene, and beautiful. The inside was very clean; we were able to adjust the thermostat to our comfort. Our only reason to give four stars instead of five was due to the musty closed-up smell in the air. Maybe dehumidifier or remove carpets. That is our only suggestion. We plan to return for family functions and would be happy to stay again. Thank you for an overall great experience.
The cabin was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the outdoor scenery with landscaping, covered bridge and creek. Very close to the facility we had to be at. We would stay there again. It is perfect for needed getaways!
We had a fantastic time. The listing was as described. The host responded quickly to questions.

Beautiful Getaway
This place was awesome! Even with our 4 teenagers it was peaceful. They loved sitting on the porch in the morning and listening to all the sounds of spring. I cannot wait to visit again.
Spent two nights at the house for a volleyball tournament. Very easy to get to Nook. House is very nice near a river which is very soothing. Sun room was a favorite for our stay. Covered bridge is a short walk down the road which was neat to see. I would definitely stay here again.
House was great. Beds comfy. Appliances a bit outdated. We could not get the oven to work but stove did. The toaster needs replacing. We ate out mostly but wanted to pass along these two items. The property and location beautiful and covered bridge just a few steps away. We loved it.
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. We loved the location and the accommodations. The only drawback was there were no garbage bags, only 2 tissues in the box and we only had 1/4 roll of paper towels. We looked for extras and couldn’t find them. But would stay again and just pack extras with us.
At the top step when you step up onto the porch is a small lip that hangs over the porch and my husband fell onto the porch. The top of his shoe caught the lip of the porch and he fell. You might need to put a sign there to watch your step.
Great area, great place, just needed more attention to cleaning.
The dryer had an out of order sign. I was not notified of this. Commodes had been neglected. Coffee pot, some utensils, a pan in the oven all not clean. Cleaning containers all empty. No swiffer pads. Had to use disinfectant wipes. Owner communicated promptly. The next day sent cleaning lady over but we had already cleaned. There was obviously a difference of opinions & i felt it was not my place to handle employee matters. She told me they would come do our clothes which was not on our plans. She also suggested I could go to a laundromat or hang them over the porch rail which was also not in out plans. There are other things I could say but I think I’ve said enough. I have no issues with the communication with the owner she was very prompt in responding. I did ask for some refund on the cleaning fee. Don’t know if this will happen. The house was old & beautiful. The grounds were pretty. It was convenient to everything. I got permission from the owner to host a small gathering of family and she graciously consented. Other than the dryer and the cleaning issues, which can be fixed, I would stay there again & would recommend it to others.
This property is in a beautiful location with a very beautiful sunroom. The house is very clean and the host was very easy to communicate with. We loved the covered bridge that is near by and the field of sunflowers was a great surprise! We also loved the bell, it added a unique touch to the atmosphere. We will definitely see if this is available, if we stay near Lancaster again.
Quiet, lovely stay. This place is great as a homebase for a stay in the area. It is a little dated but everything works, it is clean, roomy, and comfortable. The host is very responsive, check in and out is easy. Highly recommend.
