About this property

Downtown Vintage Edison/Bow Steps To Shops/Cafes/Pubs

100 Years of Family Legacy in Edison
Welcome to Jessie’s Place, a little home with a very long connection to Edison.

Our family has been part of Edison for nearly 100 years. My grandparents, Lloyd “Tuffy” and Jessie, were longtime fixtures in this tiny Skagit Valley town, and Jessie played her own part in helping Edison grow and thrive.

Over the years, Jessie owned a number of properties in the area and helped local families and businesses put down roots by selling property and carrying the notes herself—essentially acting as the bank when a little faith in someone could make all the difference.

In her later years, Jessie built this modest manufactured home next to the longtime family home. It was her way of simplifying her life without leaving the little town she loved.

So yes, Jessie’s Place is a manufactured home—but it isn’t just any manufactured home. You’re staying in the home of a woman who spent much of her life helping other people make homes and build businesses in Edison.

Today, Jessie’s Place is a comfortable two-bedroom home with a full kitchen, laundry room, living room, large fenced front yard, and a big beach-style wraparound porch made for kicking back after a day of exploring.

And there is plenty to explore. Walk into town for Edison’s funky shops, galleries, bakeries, and acclaimed eateries. Visit the Skagit Valley tulip fields, head toward Samish Bay or La Conner, or take spectacular Chuckanut Drive north toward Bellingham. Anacortes and the San Juan Islands are within easy reach as well.

Back at Jessie’s Place, settle in and cook—the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and plenty of extras—or relax with YouTube TV with the Sports package, streaming-capable TVs, Wi-Fi, or even our old-school record and 8-track players.

The large front porch and fenced front yard are yours to enjoy, with plenty of off-street parking and fruit trees around the property.

Come explore Edison, venture out along Chuckanut and Samish Bay, or simply stay awhile and enjoy the town Jessie loved.

Hi There!

I am a world traveler from Washington. I have traveled solo mostly and traveled Airbnb style for years before Airbnb was much of a thing. Both of us have always loved this kind of experience and want to share our beautiful place with you.

I’m sharing my grandma and grandpa’s hometown with you. They used to own half of the town at one point and I grew up riding up MacTaggart on a tractor with my grandpa. Grandpa owned and ran the Standard Oil garage and Grandma helped with the league of women voters and was an amazing gardener and LPN back in the day.

Come stay with us and become a part of the Edison family while experiencing history and supporting our amazing arts and flavor community.

Why they chose this property

Our family has been part of Edison, WA since it became a town. Even before it became labeled “Bow” the to make things easier on the post office. My grandparents Lloyd “Tuffy" & Jessie were staples in this quaint town and we are proud to see it becoming such an amazing destination for tourists.

A quick ten minutes from La Conner or Samish Bay or 20 minutes by stunning Chuckanut Drive to Bellingham. You cannot go wrong with this NON SMOKING peaceful landing spot. Now YOU can stay right here!

What makes this property unique

We are right in the heart of dear Edison! Fenced yard, well appointed, nice neighbors, wonderful porch, and best of all: quiet and peaceful.
