We were very happy in this Alpenglow townhome. The loft with a big couch and tv was an extra bonus! The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. Location is very good, just steps from the slopes. Would stay here again.
Great location. Loved the space. Close to lake too.

Apenglow
We loved our stay at Apenglow! Two families were very comfortable and it had everything we needed with an excellent location. Access to the lodge hot tub and pool was a great option and the shuttle stop to the lodge was just a few steps from the garage. Only suggestion we would make is to add some seating to the main living space. The condo fit our 4 adults and 3 kids very comfortably except that one space.
Wonderful stay over Christmas! Just a quick short walk to get on a lift and right next to the bus stop for the shuttle to the base! House was clean and had everything we needed! Host was very responsive to all of our questions pre and during our stay! Highly recommend

Perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This property had all the utensils you need to cook a family meal. The location is super close to all the summer activities the resort offers during the summer. A big plus for me was that we had access to the pool and fitness center (not included with the rental) but we paid a bit extra for it and the kids liked that. We would definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable for my family- lots of room to sleep and spread out. This is located close to group ski-school drop off and the bunny slope lift (very short walk down main road). The main base area and village is accessible by car or shuttle bus.

Alpenglow Unit 4
Great place! Close to a peaceful babbling brook. Lots of mosquitoes near the water but the alpine slide and coaster areas were great! Kids and adults had a lot of fun! Condo was very comfortable for 4 adults and three kids.
We had 6 adults for a 50th wedding anniversary at this property and had a great time. Everything is just as described and looks even better in person. The waterfall and running creek are a delight and views of the mountains from the front room/porch were amazing in morning and evening. We stayed in June but I can imagine in the winter this would be an ideal location as the ski lift is a very short walk away. The property manager was great and very attentive to any questions that we had. Highly recommend this property.

Thank you for being our guests. We are delighted that you enjoyed our Alpenglow Townhome as much as we do. Yes, it's location is great for Ski-in and Ski-out convenience, but as you experienced first hand, this townhome is a great place to enjoy year round. Hope to have you back.
Overall the place is nice. Love the garage. Living room is very tight, but master is a great size. Location is okay, you can’t ski to it or away from but it’s a short shuttle ride. It was nice storing ski gear in the garage. Kitchen is well stocked and place was clean. We love purgatory and the town of Durango.

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the overall experience, especially the garage convenience, spacious master, and well-stocked kitchen. It's great to hear you appreciate Purgatory and the charm of Durango. If there's anything we can do to enhance your future stays, please let us know. We look forward to hosting you again!
We really enjoyed our stay at purg. The cabin was perfect for us . Everything we needed was supplied and everyone was super curtious. The house is probably 50 yards to the bunny slope then a short chairlift to the top. If you get a chance sit at the bottom of the bunny slope and watch some amazing men and women with adaptive skiing. They all have hearts of gold. It will humble your soul.. Enjoy.

Has great potential
This unit is probably a great summer rental. The view is of a parking lot and mountains but not slopes. It is not ski out, as you have to walk down the road to get to the lift, which is difficult with kids. The upstairs queen bedroom had a broken bed frame and the mattress sinks to the center, so only one person could use the bed. My husband had to sleep on a twin mattress on the floor, which effected our privacy because we couldn’t close the door without standing the mattress up. There is no dresser to put your clothes. The vanity is tiny and doesn’t have much space to lay out toiletries. The shower and tub are large. The upstairs king was large and had a dresser, although the clothes from the previous guests were still in there. The kitchen was large and had all the needed pots/pans plus the basic spices. The coffee pot was broken and spilled everywhere. We were able to piece mill another one together with left over parts in the cabinets. The hand held can opener was broken so we had to get creative. The roku for the downstairs TV didn’t work and it’s not a smart TV, so stuck with poor reception channels. We would have utilized the upstairs loft tv but my father broke his foot and couldn’t climb the stairs. We did end up using the DVD player with the movies we brought with us. The master is large but lacks a dresser and the fireplace never turned on. The remotes for both fireplaces and tv were taped together but still falling apart. The dryer upstairs was very squeaky (like couldn’t hold a conversation) and it was not convenient to carry wet clothes downstairs to the garage to dry. There was an area to hang skis in the garage but nowhere to leave the boots inside so they weren’t cold in the morning. We purchased access to the Durango Mountain Resort but when we checked in they couldn’t locate our reservation due to our name being misspelled. The management company did answer our call quickly and helped us get our passes. Most importantly for us was the dust. Four of eight of us have asthma/allergies to dust. Usually it’s not a problem with meds, but there was dust on console tables, when we opened the blinds, sat on the couch, etc. two of us are headed home with upper respiratory infections. Again, it has great potential, but when you pay this much, the little things add up quickly. The summer months are probably better when you’re able to open windows, admire the waterfall, and hike around the mountain.

Thank you for being our guests and for your very detailed review. We were surprised by your rating. This a fantastic unit with nothing but perfect 5 star reviews on this site as well as all other sites that we list our property. The ski slope is a short 30 yard walk to the end of the street. Ski down to pick up the lift. We have not had guests have issues with the fireplace or TV operation. Sorry about the bed frame. Wished you would have called us to let us know. We would have sent someone to fix it and help you with remotes. It is difficult to fix something if we aren't made aware of it. Sorry that this unit wasn't for you.
Overall excellent. Dryer needs repair; almost unbearable squeak/whine when drying clothes.

Thank you for being our guests and glad that you enjoyed our fantastic ski-in ski-out property! Sorry about the squeaky dryer. The backup dryer in the lower level works perfectly. The main dryer is going to be replaced.
