About the host
Hosted by Andy
Kris and Andy are experienced vacation home owners and travelers. They love Door County and all it has to offer. They hope you will have a wonderful time with friends and family and building lasting memories. We are proud to be the new (April 2019) owners of Trillium Cottage (formerly Trinity Retreat) and have made many improvements - large and small - for your enjoyment and comfort.
Kris and Andy enjoy kayaking, bicycling, cross country skiing, wildlife viewing, fishing, swimming, antiques, art festivals, history, traveling, and just relaxing at the cottage near the water. Andy is especially fond of the fresh local apples and cherries from Door County! Our dogs, Milo and Ivy, love to swim and play fetch in the nearby water access!

Why they chose this property
We love Door County! The setting of Trillium Cottage is wonderful. It is near enough to the typical Door County activities and yet a little out of the way in a quiet place. We enjoy the open floor plan of this 1960s cottage. The yard is great for games and the fire pit area is wonderful for good times with friends and family. We love to walk or bike the 1-mile low-traffic loop around the point with our dogs! This location is perfect for us as we enjoy many outdoor activities - we hope you enjoy it too! In addition to outdoor activities, art, history, shopping, theater, and great dining options are all accessible from Trillium Cottage.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the western and southern exposure and the bright, open floor plan. We love the sound of the waves on the shore of the point, the strong breezes that almost always seem to blow across the point, the wooded lot and quiet setting. There is a wide variety of bird life around - from eagles to white pelicans to Baltimore orioles. We love that the closest water access is only 1000' away and it faces west for enjoying the amazing sunsets! Bring your kayaks or rent locally! Trillium Cottage is stocked with cruiser bikes for guest use - perfect for a quick ride to the nearby beaches or doing the quiet and peaceful 1-mile loop around the point.
