Beautiful 1850's Fisherman's Cottage on the sea front in prime location
Rockslea has the one of the best locations in St Monans with views out over the Firth of Forth and the local harbour, where there is always life and activity.
Set on the sea front and on the Fife Coastal path with unobstructed views over the Firth of Forth, Rockslea is a grade C listed fisherman's cottage built around 1850. You could quite literally throw a stone in the water from the front door! This beautiful cottage has been lovingly restored offering premium accommodation for up to four people. Rockslea's terrace, at the front of the house provides for an excellent sun trap, perfect for relaxing and early evening drinks.
Rockslea is equipped to a very high standard with free wifi provided for guests convenience, 40inch smart TV and blue ray DVD player installed to keep the kids entertained.
Rockslea's lounge is warm and inviting with solid oak furnishings which are complimented by the custom built window seat offering the perfect location to relax and watch the world go by or enjoy a book. The seamless transition provided by solid oak flooring into the kitchen and dining area offers a dining area that can accommodate 6 people comfortably with views to the sea. The kitchen benefits from a wood burning stove, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the window seat provided here, all making for a sociable and integrated space for all to enjoy. Both rooms benefit from the beautiful exposed stone walls highlighting the original character of this period property.
The kitchen is fully equipped with range cooker, full height fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a washing machine provided in a utility cupboard space. On the mid landing, there is a wet room with wc and sink with a second shower provided within the ensuite in the master bedroom. The master bedroom offers accommodation in the form of a superking size double bed or two standard size single beds dependant on the clienteles' requirements.
Bedroom 2 offers two single beds and dormer window with stunning views over the harbour, Firth of Forth and Lothian coast beyond. Loose seating is provided for those who wish to relax and enjoy this peaceful space. A small TV within integrated dvd player is wall mounted and offers some welcome space for parents who may wish to grab some time for themselves while the kids watch a film.
The cottage provides an excellent base for families and couples alike who wish to enjoy the local beaches and amenities of the East Neuk or golfers with top rated courses nearby at Kingsbarns and St Andrews; with an award winning restaurant 50 yards from the cottage.
