A great place to spend quality time with family and friends. The host was very responsive and the house was clean and nicely decorated. My friends and I enjoyed smore's by the firepit, playing board games, washer toss and sharing stories on the back deck while soaking in the view of the lake.

A Hidden Gem

This property has a great location, close to the water and the fees a spacious dock, kayaks, fire pit, and a great screen porch. The pictures don’t do a full just - the dock was expanded and has a wider area, the kitchen has newer appliances and the fire pit looks even better than the one in the pic! It is a fantastic lake retreat location.

Very comfortable and relaxing home, clean, well stocked and outfitted, nice private wooded lot on quiet cove for swimming and kayaking, easy boat access to main channel. Stephanie/host was easy to reach, responsive, clear communications, and helpful with suggestions. Don’t miss the wildlife safari 5 minutes up the road, tons of fun for older kids and adults. Great for our extended 3 generation family week at the lake. We fully recommend.

The house was wonderful and the view was spectacular. Very peaceful. We rented a pontoon boat from the local Marin and it fit in the dock space perfectly. We would definitely recommend.

Fun time at Lake Hartwell

Our family really enjoyed this lake house. It was just right for 10 people. Both bathrooms were very spacious and the kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the fire pit area. It was great having two kayaks and two paddle boards at the property. We were able to float in the lake without having to worry about boats or jet skis getting too close to us. We were very fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather too.

We so enjoyed this long weekend! A beautiful home with a lovely view of the lake! We had a few with mobility issues that couldn’t make it to the water more than once, but the kids LOVED the dock and used the provided kayaks for a lovely afternoon on the water! Fantastic Get Away

We enjoyed our stay so much! Views from the house, screened porch, fire pit and dock were incredible. The kitchen was well thought out and we were able to do our cooking at the house each night. It was a relaxing weekend with weather that was unpredictable but the house made it a wonderful stay regardless of weather! Thanks so much for having us! We hope to come again!

It was great overall but could use a good cleaning. All the sliding glass windows were dirty, kitchen was sticky on cupboard sores, kitchen window was filthy. We looked for some window cleaner but there was none in with the cleaning supplies etc. However that being said the host was super and check in was great and easy. It was a quite nice space for family. We LOVED the screened in porch, fire pit and bbq. Thank you Shawna

2nd Time Staying

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. The proximity to the lake, space for our family and the screened in porch are huge factors of us returning this year. The owner is great and communicates in a timely manner. The only thing that would be helpful is for a 2nd fridge/freezer in the garage.

Why they chose this property

Lake Hartwell is one of the largest and most popular lakes in the southeast but amazingly it is not crowded. Fishing, boating, and water sports are what attract people to the area. When we began looking we wanted something that was on deep water, had great views of the lake, and would be welcoming for families to spend time together. This house checked all those boxes! We hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

We provide kayaks and paddleboards and have installed an underwater green glow light at the dock for fishing. Not all lake property has views from the house or is on deep water. We have both!
