Lovely cottage in a lovely setting when the sun shines on the back garden in a morning it is nice to have breakfast outside.. Perfectly placed to explore the Peak District.
We had an amazing stay at Anyas property not least because of the wonderful personal touches . The beds were so comfortable and the little extras such as masks , Prosecco , toffee , home from home vibe , made our stay so memorable . The only downside was the roadside traffic which was so so noisy day and night . We had trouble sleeping so if you stay here , bring some earplugs ! The top garden is idyllic with panoramic views across the tops .

So glad you have a lovely stay. Sorry about the road - unfortunate timing with planned works and road re-routing. Please find 200+ amazing reviews on our main alternative booking site.
Outside...
No house number or house name making it impossible to find
Bedroom top floor...
Stains on bedding - side closest to radiator
Only 1 bedside light works - side closest to window
Insufficient coat hangers for 2 adults for a weeks worth of clothes
Bathroom/Dressing Room...
Mould on bath frame and beside basin
Rusty dirty sewing needle embedded in bath frame
Insufficient towels for 2 adults for a weeks stay - assuming both adults shower at least once a day then 2 towels each would be required - rather unhygienic to use the same towels for a week
Sharp nail protruding from door bar
Lounge...
States wood included, yet only 2 logs provided which wasn’t even sufficient for the 1st night - at least provide enough for the first night (especially considering normal access is late afternoon and it’s October)
Kitchen...
Half eaten packet of biscuits in jar left over from previous guests, not removed by “cleaner”
Not even a pint of milk left as a gesture for arriving guests
Overall....
Overall smell of damp throughout property despite numerous air fresheners
Appalling internet speed, so much so we used 4G for the week instead
Fabulous cottage with everything you could possibly need for your holiday accommodation.

Very very clean
Excellent communication with owner

Enjoyable
Beautiful cottage, however not ideal with steep stairs and baby sleeping in the bedroom downstairs. A little treacherous in the night.

Lovely cottage, great location
This cottage was perfect for our family of four. The location is fantastic- we were able to explore the mills, Cromford canal and Matlock Bath on foot. The start of the high peak trail (& bike hire) is a five minute drive. Carsington Water also a short drive away. The Greyhound is a nice local pub. We enjoyed the fantastic views from Mam Tor and Castleton. We will definitely be back! Thank you Anya for being a very thoughtful host.

Perfect getaway
We had a wonderful stay in this fabulous property. It had been tastefully decorated for Christmas and it was a very nice touch for our Christmas holiday away from home.
The property has everything you could need and wish for during your stay. And we took full advantage of the fire in the cold weather- it only added to the atmosphere.
The kitchen was very well equipped, the master bedroom was very comfortable and again lovely decorated (we didn’t use the second bedroom) and the bathroom + laundry room were clean and comfortable.
We didn’t use the garden because of the time of year but imagine it to be as wonderful as the rest of the property.
Overall we had a great stay and we enjoyed visiting the nearby towns and countryside.
We would thoroughly recommend.
Thank you again.

Very comfortable and well appointed cottage. Great location for exploring that part of Derbyshire.
Toodles Cottage was very welcoming with nice details like slippers waiting for us, basic items in the food cupboard and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The log burning stove made evenings so cosy and warm. Both the bedrooms had very comfortable beds with a choice of duvet weights if we wished to change as well as lovely fluffy towels. The garden was very pretty set on several levels with a great view from the top. Sadly it was rather cool and damp for us to use the patio set.
The cottage is very well situated for many attractions and also shops. The parking was a little tricky but we were given helpful instructions on the way to park.
Altogether we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommended Toodles Cottage to others wanting to stay in the area.

Excellently equipped and lovely homely cottage
From the initial booking the owners were so welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel welcome in their property and provided us with well thought out and useful information about the cottage and our booking. The cottage it's self was amazing, beautifully presented, excellently equipped and instantly felt like a home from home. The cottage has everything you could need regardless of whether you're staying for a short getaway or a fortnights break. The rear garden was great to relax in and had an amazing view. We couldn't have wished for a nicer accommodation for our break. We'll certainly recommend to others and will try to return.

Beautiful place, with amazing garden.
The place was lovely, and Anya was very friendly and easy to communicate with via text. There were slippers for all of us and some little packets of fudge which was a lovely touch!
Our favourite part was the garden which was truly remarkable, it was very well kept with lots of little solar powered lights and gets lots of sun in the morning; the top tier was a bit of struggle to get to for anyone with knee/hip problems but the view was brilliant and the furniture up there is great.
The only thing we would say would be that the parking is not easy! It is on a busy road that happens to be very steep, often we parked down the hill and walked back up, this was no problem for us but may be difficult for not so confident drivers.
We would love to come and stay here again, so would definitely recommend!

Charming, very clean and cozy.
Property was very inviting but located on a busy road. Fan in upstairs bedroom helped with road noise but another was needed for second bedroom. Also know this isn't customary, but a top sheet would have been helpful because temps were too high for the duvets.

Thanks for the lovely texts over your stay, i'm so glad you enjoyed your UK visit to the Peak District & hope your flight home was okay.
Its a shame you didn't mention the fan in the immense heatwave there, as the portable Aircon that was there is censored, so if positioned on the landing would have controlled the 'environment' to both rooms with the double glazing systems shut.
There are also spare sheets left in each rooms bottom drawers - which were mentioned within the information provided and also that the duvets are 'All Season'-split togs duvets, where they can be divided to personal taste.

A delightful and quirky cottage, loved it.
This cottage provided everything we needed. It was immaculately set up ready for our arrival and is beautifully decorated. To update this period cottage, so that it is cosy and comfortable would have been a big job, but the owners have done a marvellous job. The wood burning stove was wonderful, the lounge and beds very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything required.
The customer service was second to none, and local amenities are good. We hope to stay again in the future.

Cosy relaxing cottage for a short break
The cottage is clean, modern and well furnished. The kitchen and bathroom was full of everything we needed for a weekend stay, the living room was cosy and jammed with lots of entertainment from a fully stocked and up to date dvd library, poker table set and lots of information on the local area. The cottage is a short walk from village shops and a great coffee shop with tasty cakes. We especially liked the attention to detail from the hosts, who had made checkin and checkout as easy as possible and stayed in touch from beginning to end to make sure we had a great stay at Toodles.

Comfortable cottage, well furnished and equipped.
The cottage is well decorated, clean and tidy and the log burner was great at giving the cottage a really cosy feel. The cottage had everything we could possibly need for our stay. There were lots of lovely thoughtful finishing touches which were much appreciated! The location of the cottage was great for visiting Derbyshire.
