Cozy and comfortable Sombrero Beach cottage! This light and airy single family home offers an open concept living, kitchen and dining area with large outdoor spaces both up and downstairs. Beautifully updated with kitchen island that is well-equipped with NEW pots and pans and dining table, this is the perfect home for gathering and entertaining the whole family. Plenty of seating in the dining area, table and chairs with bench seating! The living area offers comfortable furnishings and a large flat screen TV. The spacious master suite offers a King bed, TV, sitting area and has an en suite bathroom. The first guest bedroom offers a queen bed and the second guest bedroom has a full bed with a trundle. There is a guest bathroom conveniently located in the hallway.

We had a great time. Several guests used the kayaks. The hot tub was great. The bikes were not in working condition. All had flat tires that would not hold air and/or broken chains.

Family Reunion

This is a beautiful beach house in a great location. It was clean and all of the rooms are very comfortable with everything you need.The beach is a 5 minute drive and we were so close to nature trails, restaurants and shopping. We loved Marathon and will be back!

Property was just as expected! Convenient location for visiting all of the Keys… Would suggest a note or information in the packet that could give future tenants a place to donate any extra food so it doesn’t go to waste and may help others…

We enjoyed the property, was roomy and had everything we needed. The bike rides to the beach we’re nice. The dock has water and power. And everything was clean. We will stay here again. It’s a great value unit on the water!

Great property!! We enjoyed the downstairs seating area and especially the hammock. The hot tub was too hot to enjoy. The only negative remark would be that the kirchen needs more pots and baking dishes .

Beyond impressed!

The description of the property doesn’t do it Justice. This place is awesome! Best vacation the family ever took, mostly due to the condition of the property (very well maintained), location (on a canal with kayak access (and the kayaks are provided) and walking distance to the beach. The kitchen was great with everything needed to cook large meals. The owner of this property goes above and beyond. Will definitely use this vacation company from now on.

Marathon in the Middle

The good:The house inside was clean and nice! Nicely decorated, updated, and comfortable. I had to empty and adjust ice maker, but everything else worked as it should. It has a noticeable musty beach smell to it, but we liked it. Smelled like "vacation". The bad:The outside of the property has been washed in Florida dirt for several years, and it looks that way. The hot tub was disappointing. It was incredibly dirty and water mold covered all the jets. The intake screen was completely covered in scum and the water level was a foot low. I reported it the day we arrived but never received a reply. A few days later, I drained it myself, flushed and cleaned the jets and scrubbed the tub. It was really nice after that. All but 2 of the beach chairs were rusted and broken. Those 2 are on last legs. The kayaks are cool idea, but there is a 3-4 foot drop from the dock to the water, with only a pool ladder. No good way to launch or get back out. Aside from being filthy, the deck overlooking the channel is really nice. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been even better if outside matched the inside. We spent most our time away checking out the Keys so we didn't mind all that much.

Good accommodation but equipment not up to standard

The property is generally great and we were comfortable as a party of five. However, the kitchen equipment was not up to standard. The frying pans were either dirty or the coating had come off. There was only one large saucepan, which is not sufficient for a property that houses up to 8 persons. We contacted the property manager via email and text but did not receive a response at first. We had to call another manger before we received a response. Eventually the property manager organised for additional equipment to be provided. The BBQ looked like it had not been used for a long time and we decided to cook the meat on the stove, having received new frying pans, as we didn't fancy spending our time to clean the BBQ. The area downstairs could do with some TLC. Also, one of the bikes had a flat tyre. The property manager organised for this to be fixed after we raised it, but it should have been checked before we arrived. On the positive side, the accommodation is comfortable, with plenty of space, inside and out. The master bedroom matrass was very comfy. The mattrass topper on the double is on the small side and doesn't cover all of the mattrass. The location is great as it's possible to walk to Sombrero Beach and to the supermarket, or use the bicycle. It was great not to have to rely on the car at all times.

Presque parfait sauf que ….

Je débuterai par les points forts de cette maison : son emplacement à 5mn de Sombrero beach / sa facilité d’accès à Key Largo et Key West à 1h20 en voiture / sa magnifique terrasse qui nous a procuré des moments forts à la contemplation / les kayaks et vélos . De plus , l’intérieur de la maison est fort confortable. A l’extérieur, nous n’avions pu profiter du hamac car trop sale et du jacuzzi en raison de la température de l’eau (impossible à régler ) Maintenant , je regrette d’avoir à le dire : il y a désinformation sur sa capacité. Cette maison ne peut accueillir que 6 personnes avec aucune possibilité de convertir le canapé du salon . En conséquence , nous avons été contraints d’acheter un matelas gonflable . Par ailleurs , on nous a mis à disposition seulement 4 serviettes de bain / aucun article de toilettes mais tout de même 3 petits savons pour les matin ainsi qu’un petit flacon de lessive . Enfin et c’est le point le plus décevant : Jessica n’a répondu à aucun de mes messages . Peut-être était-elle en vacances ? Si oui, elle est pardonnée. En résumé : la maison A+ , la communication C-

Friends and family keys getaway

Loved the area, the house was super close to a Publix and Winn Dixie. Also we were able to ride the bikes to the beach. The house was pretty much equipped with all your needs, like coffee maker, pots, bikes, kayaks, and a big selection of DVDs. Overall it was a good stay. Only negative things I can say about it, was they needed to clean better. Our feet were black from walking in house. Also the showers needed a good scrub, mold on shower doors. And they only gave us one roll of toilet paper and paper towels. That didn't cover our 8 day stay. BUT, plenty of room to spread out, nice seating on porch, great location.

Spring vacation

Property located in a great area easy access to shopping and entertainment. Close to sombrero beach. If you are renting a boat it takes awhile to get to ocean. Cleaning was not up to par. There were cheerios under the coffee maker and the entire place needed a good cleaning. Other than the cleanliness the home is really nice!
