About this property

Designer Lakefront Lodge w/Huge Private Beach & Boat Option-Built July 2019

This fabulously decorated, contemporary woodland lodge was featured on Discovery Channel TV show Staycations! It has 5 King Bedrooms, each with their own smart TV. The 150 year-old, hand-hued, reclaimed wooden beams dominate the huge open floor plan. With it's 17 foot ceilings, the Great Hall serves as the Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room with a 75" 4K TV over the remote controlled gas fireplace (fall and winter only). Enjoy the embedded Sonos sound system throughout the home.

We offer a pontoon boat, at an additional cost, for our guests to enjoy and explore the lake. There are sandbars, restaurants, and beautiful coves where you can ski, wakeboard, and tube.

Our two covered decks overlook our large private beach and the lake's main channel. There is a large fire pit surrounded by six Adirondack chairs.

Downstairs offers a second Full Kitchen, Dining Table, a Billiards table, a Living Room, and another 75" 4K TV to watch from the sectional and sofa that both have motorized fully-reclining seats that you could melt into.

You are welcome to use the garage. Being that the house is in pristine condition, we do not allow pets and make no exceptions.

We do not allow any parties or gatherings, unless previously discussed and cleared with us in writing.

This was a great house for a large family. Comfortable beds and pillows, lots of living space, well stocked kitchen and bathroom cabinets with all the necessities, and a wonderful lake view with lots of paddle boards, canoes etc. We loved our stay! The property is beautiful!!!

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything was perfect and all the extras made this house a 10. It was so much fun at the house and on the beach. This is a great house for a large family with all age ranges. Nothing needed except your food and clothing. They have it all. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Stellar Stay

Had a stellar stay over a week with friends, including several young children. Large bedrooms made for comfortable evenings for all families. The sandy beach and protected cove made for relaxing afternoons and easy water entry with enough room for beach games. House was super clean and well stocked, amazing!

A beautiful visit

We came to help our daughter find an apartment and get to know the area before moving to Charlotte. It was a perfect contrast for us. We spent some of our time in the city, and some time just relaxing at the lake house. The house was so comfortable and beautiful. We look forward to our future visits!

Amazing stay!

This house is so beautiful it is hard to believe the owners are willing to rent it out! The place was spotless and exactly as advertised, so I don't really have much to add. Sitting on the dock at night looking over the lake was magical, and how many lake houses have a white sand beach?! There was construction going on next door, but it was not obtrusive since the workers seemed to quit at midday, and the house is well insulated for sound. All in all an amazing stay!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this property! The house is beautiful, impeccably decorated, and super clean! The bathrooms are amazing and so luxurious! The house came equipped with everything we needed for our stay and was exactly how it was advertised on the listing! I can't say enough about the owner and property manager! Beautiful property & house

We were very happy with this house! We stayed here with 4 adult couples and everyone enjoyed having their own bedroom with King bed. It’s so hard when the master is outstanding and the other bedrooms are small, this house was designed and furnished beautifully! While we were in town for the golf tourney, the lake was so fun and lots of water toys to utilize. I can’t say enough great things!! Also appreciated the great communication before and during our stay from property manager Carol!

Thanksgiving family getaway in N.C.

This house was the perfect size for a family vacation. Everyone had their own space including bathrooms, the walkout basement is like having a second home. While we didn’t utilize everything that we could have- the amenities were certainly there if we had wanted to. The lake view and trees were beautiful to look out at and the patios were great for hanging outside. There was plenty enough space for our group of 6 adults and we could have comfortably had more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carol was great to work with.

Perfect Vacation Rental

Finally a Vacation Rental that lived up to its listing. We stay monthly at VRBO’s and I can’t tell you how disappointing it is when you pay big money and feel it wasn’t worth it. We didn’t even hit good weather to enjoy all the lake amenities that this property offers but having our whole family comfortably together under one roof was absolutely amazing and just what we needed. Carol (property manager) went above and beyond to make sure of it too, thank you again :))

My Husband and I set out to build the home of our dreams for our growing family (and our young grandchildren). The huge private beach of this lot is what we fell in love with from the start - we knew our grandchildren would grow up playing on the beach together. When we finished building it in 2019, we decided to share the joy we have for the lake and our home with others. As native Charlotte family, it is our pleasure to share our piece of the Carolinas with fellow travelers from across the globe.

Why they chose this property

This home has not only the best lake amenities... view, sandy beach, dock, kayaks/toys, but the home itself is stunning. All 4 master bedrooms face the lake as well as the office/5th bedroom. In fact, all the living spaces have lake views as well! It is the whole package.
To be sequestered on a quiet cove, but minutes to shopping and restaurants is hard to beat.

What makes this property unique

We bought and developed this plot, not just to view the lake... but to explore the lake and the wooded beauty and architecture it has to offer. There are so many sandbars, restaurants, and beautiful coves to ski, wakeboard, and tube in. Enjoy the lake for all it has to offer :)
