Surface of 150m2, 6 rooms, implanted on 1000m2 of flat ground, closed and sunny. Beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains.

Super location

A characterful house with a good big garden and a super location a short walk to the lovely beach at St Jorioz and also close to a practical town with useful services. Lovely to sit on the small balcony outside the kitchen window while someone else is cooking. This kitchen is small - as shown on the site - but worked out fine for our party of 10 as long as everyone is not in the kitchen at once. We enjoyed evening meals outside in the garden around the big table. Be aware, one single bedroom is effectively a corridor to two other bedrooms so be prepared for that. Three of the double bedrooms are very lovely and spacious while the other three are small but functional. We had not known about St Jorioz but of all the places around Lake Annecy that is where we would stay again as it was so convenient for bus and cyling to other places in the area as well as the local facilities and the ease of an early morning trip to the beach each day.

Confort pas à la hauteur du prix et certaines informations inexactes

Le lac n’est pas à 500m de la maison mais à 1,1 km et la plage à 1,3 km, or nous avions choisi cette résidence en fonction de ce critère. Proximité immédiate d'une rue assez bruyante et source de tapages nocturnes. Pour 5 adultes la maison est relativement fonctionnelle. Les 10 couchages annoncés y sont mais les pièces du rez-de-chaussée déjà limites pour 5 personnes auraient été trop petites pour 10 personnes. A l’étage, 2 des chambres sont très petites et extrêmement chaudes. Les 2 salles de douche refaites récemment avec douches à l’italienne sont très agréables. Le reste de la maison est meublé avec des meubles anciens peu pratiques pour un séjour de vacances : armoires et commodes anciennes qui sentent l’humidité, manque d’étagères et de patères. Le dérouleur de papier toilettes était à demi arraché. Maison sombre avec une forte odeur d’humidité. Impossible de se garer dans l’entrée du jardin protégée par un portail cadenassé. En général il est possible de stationner devant la maison sur un petit parking mais souvent occupé par des camping-cars ce qui oblige à se garer plus loin sur le bas-côté de la rue. Une panne de la box internet qui nous a privé d’internet pendant une journée et de télévision pendant 3 jours - un grand merci à Stéphanie qui a fait le maximum pour résoudre ce pb. Le barbecue en mauvais état ne donne vraiment pas envie de l’utiliser. Le ménage est compris dans le prix et nous avons effectivement trouvé la maison très propre à notre arrivée.

Une jolie maison mais…

C’est une jolie maison de bord de Lac, ancienne mais agréable avec un joli jardin. La maison est très bien située, 10m de la piste cyclable, proche centre de Saint Jorioz pour faire le marché / les courses (boulangerie proche, super marché aussi), et proche du lac (17 minutes à pieds). C’est un endroit assez calme. Les chambres et les salles de bain sont bien agencées et les lits confortables. La salle de séjour avec TV est composé de plusieurs canapés, la salle à manger est à côté avec une table et quelques chaises et la cuisine peu fonctionnelle car pas de plan de travail. Elle reste bien équipée (four, gaziniere, micro-onde, grand frigo…) Mais… Pour moi, cette maison n’est pas adaptée pour 10 personnes. Certes, il y a 10 couchages mais ensuite c’est trop petit, la salle a manger est trop petite pour manger ensemble. De plus, l’état de la maison laisse un peu à désirer : des chaises qui s’effondrent, plusieurs choses sont cassés, le barbecue était dans un état pitoyable, le salon de jardin aussi… Enfin, propreté à revoir, beaucoup de fourmis, les oreillers étaient sales, les alaises aussi. Heureusement, vous pouvez compter sur Stéphanie, qui gère la conciergerie pour trouver des solutions avec beaucoup de réactivité. En résumé, c’est déjà très bien mais cela pourrait être encore mieux (et propre).

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison. Nous étions 3 couples et enfants. La maison est bien adaptée pour cette configuration (les chambres des enfants communiquent entre elles). L'environnement est très calme. La table de la salle à manger est un peu petite pour 10. Sinon tout était parfait.

Maison idéale pour une famille

C’est une maison ancienne avec un charme particulier et un jardin très apprécié par les enfants. L’environnement est calme. Bien chargés, nous nous rendions à la plage en voiture plutôt qu’à pied (environ 1,2 km). Une très bonne surprise !

Fine week in large old St Jorioz

Seven of us slept comfortably despite heat in the upper 30s. Balconies and creaky floorboards added to the charm. Modern showers and dishwasher kept things tidy. We watched bats in the large back garden at night. There was a lack of hand towels, but overall, great.
