We were at a different location than we had hoped to be in. Our friends were on the next street that is why we picked the location.We entered the home on Woodbrine (which is where we wanted to be because it was close to our friends home.) However that home was not in a state that was acceptable to stay in. We ended up staying in an another house on Hyacinth.The second house was in much better shape. However there were a few issues nothing major: The back sliding door did not lock. We were in a nice area so I was not afraid. But it is not safe not being able to lock up the house completely. There were a couple of dead cockroaches found which always tends to freak me out. And the intercom system malfunctioned and was singing a song all night which did interfere with my rest on Saturday night. I couldn’t shut it off outside in the pool area.

We have heeded all this suggestions by among other things fixing the sound system and the slider lock. One strange thing was that the guest texted us upon leaving that everything was fine and did not mention the items in the review to us in advance when we could have addressed each of them immediately.
This house is in a great location on Marco Island and has the potential to be a very beautiful vacation rental. We had an issue with check-in. The property was not ready when stated - which I understand things happen. I reached out to the owner and he got right back to me and told me that the cleaners were delayed about an hour. No big deal. However, when we went back to the home at 8:30 pm after about 2 1/2 hours, the house still was not ready. Dirty laundry was left and beds were not made. The house is a little more run down than portrayed in the pictures. The living room furniture is not even the same. There were several large wet carpet stains in the master bedroom. The towels were old with stains and basically all need to be replaced. There were several broken chairs out in the lanai and a couple of old grills laying around. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. All other VRBO’s I have stayed in have been immaculate. With some paint, and a thorough cleaning of the house - this would be a great choice but currently needs some serious TLC
This is a nice home. Check in was smooth and uneventful. I would give it an A- for cleanliness only because the floors could have been cleaned a little better as evidenced by my white socks becoming very dirty the evening I arrived after walking on the floors. I am overall pleased with the home and have no complaints. I did notice in the pool area there is mold on the ground coming from water dripping from the overhang where there is wood rotting. This will get very costly if not taken care of soon.
This property is relaxing and spacious with a screened in swimming pool looking out in the inter coastal. The air is fresh and the breeze soothed us. The neighborhood is attractive and quiet with shopping and dining options nearby. The owner/agent was very friendly and accommodating providing useful advice too. Highly recommended.
We loved hanging by the pool and the dock. Perfect size for a family of 7.
