THE HOUSE
On the amazing coast of Tuscany, just outside the town of Porto Ercole between two Spanish Fortresses of the XVI century appears this classic Tuscan villa. This residence is the larger part of the original villa. As you enter the private blooming garden full of flowers your attention will be captured by the large breathtaking terrace with an amazing sea view, together with the very elegant cobalt pool with salted water. The outdoor area is organized in different spaces with tables and sitting areas where you can relax and enjoy your holiday with friends and family. Inside, the house is elegantly decorated and the kitchen, just renovated, is equipped with all the modern appliances you need, including a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Every room has independent air-conditioning and heating. The master bedroom, on the ground level, has an ensuite full bath with a large shower, two sinks and toilet and bidet. This bedroom opens directly on the patio that overlooks the sea, so in the morning you can enjoy this amazing view from your bed. The second bedroom is on the ground level as well with its ensuite bathroom and a lovely garden view. If you need a private working space, this room also has a desk and a chair, and upon request we can also set up a printer and a Dell monitor for your device. The third and fourth bedrooms are both at the lower level, just under the terrace and each has its ensuite bathroom and incredible sea views and a dedicated outdoor space. These three guest bedrooms can be set up with two single beds or with one double bed as you prefer. We take extra care to prepare the beds in the best way as we believe that resting well is an important part of your holiday: the mattresses are all covered with a soft cotton mattress pad, and all our linen are soft 100% sateen cotton and each guest has two alternative down pillows with medium and soft support for side and back/stomach sleepers. We also provide soft cotton towels and robes for the bathrooms and towels for the pool. The indoor living and dining area are very comfortable as well as the outside. Wifi has been upgraded in all the property so you can stay online also in the outdoor spaces.
HISTORY OF PORTO ERCOLE
Porto Ercole certainly is a very charming little town on the seashore in Tuscany: it is listed as one of the 100 most beautiful "borghi" in Italy.
Its history dates back to the time of the Etruscans over 1.000 years ago, then in the Middle Ages it has been a territory under the Aldobrandeschi family and later it became part of the Stato dei Presidi, under the Spanish King Filippo II. The three main fortresses built in the XVI century, are the mark left from this Spanish period.
For many years it has just been a village of fishermen until about 50 years ago it became one of the most famous Italian summer destinations. The town is also known because the famous painter Caravaggio died on the shore of the Feniglia beach just outside from Porto Ercole.
WHAT YOU CAN DO & SEE
Five minutes away, walking distance, from the residence there are two beaches with two very well organized facilities with beach umbrellas, sun beds, and small shacks where you can grab a salad or a sandwich. It takes only a ten minutes walk or few minutes by car to reach the harbor of Porto Ercole where you can find the restaurants, shops and even rent a boat to discover the coast from the sea, swim in the crystal clear waters and lay in the sun on the hidden beaches. You can visit the Spanish Fortress Forte Stella.
You can also take a walk in the heart of the historic old town along the tiny streets overlooking the sea. Enjoy great views walking, jogging or driving on the scenic Panoramic Road that will take you all around the Monte Argentario to the town of Porto Santo Stefano. If you are a golfer you can play at the 18 hole golf course of the Argentario Golf and Wellness Resort just 4,6 miles from the home.
This splendid residence is 98 miles away from Rome, 120 miles from Florence, 75 miles from Siena, 64 miles from Montalcino and only 20 miles from the ancient Middle Age village of Capalbio. You might also be interested in the Saturnia Thermal Springs that are only 30 miles away. There is so much you can see and do in this area !

Following the resounding success of the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, the Argentario Golf Club will host the Italian Open of the DP World Tour in 2025, the Argentario Golf Club is about 10 minutes away from the property.

Unfortunately guests can’t be children under 12 years old. Special requests for children under 12 years old may be evaluated but are subject to specific confirmation before the booking.

The pool is open from May to October.
