Oceanfront 3 bedroom fully furnished at Crescent Beach Summerhouse 166

Newly remodeled three-bedroom, two bath oceanfront flat is a corner unit. Easy in and easy out for those who have difficulty with walking. This unit sleeps 6 people with a king bed in the master bedroom, one queen in the middle guest bedroom, and bunk beds in the second guest bedroom. There are three TVs and two DVD players. Tile floors throughout. At Summerhouse we have 4 temperature regulated pools to choose from on property making it comfortable to swim all year round! There are also four tennis courts, two racquetball courts and one pickleball court. We have two grilling areas and two playgrounds for the kids conveniently located at either end of the property. Our common area around the pools are covered with luscious well-maintained grass with a short walk to the beach. Our rental unit has a friendly front office staff and maintenance on site to help resolve any problem quickly if they should arise. We have a small library and a gym available during normal business hours for your convenience.

On our first day there was a dog in the unit above us that barked and barked until the owner came in from the beach to get him.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Summerhouse for about 40 years, on and off, so we have a good platform to rate this unit. It was a lovely unit - except for the mattresses and the living room furniture. The mattresses in two of the bedrooms were unlike anything I have ever seen soft you could not get out of them without help. I think someone put a pillow top on to try to cover up a bad mattress. The living room furniture looks good in the photo, but both the sofa and the loveseat have very little cushioning...on the sofa you can actually feel the hard metal support underneath. This unit would be really good if it were not for these two very important issues. Like it is, the unit was not worth the money we paid for it.

Has to be more organized with some system to let the office know when rentals are available and those people can go ahead and check in. In the past, we have been able to get in earlier and the office staff was very accommodating. Something needs to be changed by next year to make this a smoother process.

The only negative thing was initially when running the water a horrible rotten egg smell filled the whole place up. After the hot water was ran for awhile and time passed, the next day it was just fine. It was a beautiful vacation and we love staying at Summerhouse. This unit had everything we needed and we will stay here again.

Unit 166 was one of the most beautiful and well equipped units we have ever stayed in. We were disappointed that the dishwasher wasn’t working for most of our trip and that it took three days to get it fixed. Especially after being told it hadn't worked properly in eight months. For what we paid we shouldn’t have to worry about doing dishes on vacation. Other than that it was perfect.

The only issue i have is that the beds are really not comfortable, even in the master, although it's better than the others. Paying $2500 rent for a week, i really think they need to do better. Love the dining area. More area rugs would be nice. Plenty of towels on hand. Beautiful countertops with new appliances. Overall a nice stay.

The picture of the condo you see here has been redecorated. We loved it before and love the new decor, also. This condo is very clean and we're an older group - very picky! The atmosphere at the condo site is low key and quiet. The grounds are beautiful. The location of this condo is perfect. It's an end unit, not far from beach access. The kitchen is stocked. The only thing missing this time were beach towels and beach chairs. We always bring our own, so it wasn't an issue. Usually, those items in a rental are ratty anyway. The management is great, very helpful. St. Augustine is nearby. The shopping is fabulous and restaurants are the best. We will return!We are Floridians and enjoy beach weather in Sept and Oct. MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE CONDO MANAGEMENT! I took my husband once and went through vrbo. The condo we got was up a long flight of stairs, then into a town home with more stairs. Lugging up the coolers, food, suitcases, etc., was really hard for us - not so young people.
