Two bedroom holiday cottage in a quiet rural location.

The self-catering cottage constructed of local Cornish stone has two bedrooms, one with king size bed, the other with two single beds. The cottage is located within a rural setting with valley views across towards Bodmin , St Austell, The Moors.

The cottage has a lounge/diner with patio doors leading to an extensive garden, a fully fitted kitchen, (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle ,coffee percolater , iron ,ironing board) and a fully fitted walk in shower . The cottage also has storage facilities, TV (included within bedrooms and living room),Full fibre fast wifi included, extensive car parking and full central heating. Bedding and Linen are also provided.
Please note: The wood burning stove is NO LONGER functional, so simply for cosmetic purposes.

Lansallos beach is approximately 0.75 miles away accessed by a footpath from the village of Lansallos. The fishing villages of Polperro (2 miles) and Looe (7 miles) are nearby while the popular town of Fowey is just four miles away across the Bodinnick Ferry and all easily accessible by car . The cottage is an excellent base to explore southern Cornwall and beyond by road and rail - with mainline railway stations at Liskeard (10 miles) and Lostwithiel (5 miles) being nearby.The rental week is from Saturday to Saturday arrivals from 4pm and departures are by 10.00am.

Ideal cottage in an ideal location

My husband and I stayed at Matthew's cottage for a little over two weeks and it was perfect! Very comfortable rooms, good kitchen (we made our own dinner on a few occasions), dishwasher, washing machine...most of the comforts of home but in an idyllic location of rolling hills and hidden coves. Close to great seaside towns and beautiful hiking by paths. We miss it and can't recommend it highly enough!

Absolutely lovely cottage

Higher polgassic cottage is a home away from home. It has everything you can possibly need and beautiful views over farmland and moors. We all enjoyed the peaceful location and matthew was a super host.lots of local knowledge

The Perfect Get-away

A great place for a relaxing holiday. The cottage is in a great location. Surrounded by fields and countryside, and only about a 20-30 minute walk to the beach. There is a coastal path nearby with some great views. Property was clean and had everything that we needed. Matthew was a great host. I would recommend this cottage.

Beautiful quiet Place to stay

We stayed one week. The house has a quiet calm Location with a lovely view into the land. Kitchen and bathroom are ok. The mattresses are a bit to soft for two elder ladies like us. Matthew was a very friendly and helpful host.

We had a super week at Matthew's cottage. Lovely and quiet and yet within easy reach of plenty of activity if required. Everything was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary facilities to make our stay comfortable. Superb views are just a bonus! We will be back.

Great holiday

Large,comfortable, well equipped cottage with beautiful views. Approximately 1 mile walk from the south west coast path and Lansallos beach which is a pretty and quiet little cove. The walks can be very strenuous if you're not used to the hills.Close to many attractions such as the eden project e also found some smaller places to visit such as Porfell rescue centre, Caŕnglaze caverns and Golitha falls. The cottage is also close to a "dark sky" area on Bodmin moor and if you're able to stay up late and have a clear night, the stars are absolutely amazing. Matthew and family incuding the dogs are very friendly and helpful .A lovely holiday.

Lovely property, great views , just didn’t have the weather to enjoy it to its credit. Would be superb in good weather. But the property was very warm and welcoming to come home too after a breezy wet day.
