The Boathouse Cottage is a beachfront family retreat just five minutes south along the shore from famous Old Orchard Beach and downtown attractions. It is situated near the quiet fishing village of Camp Ellis on Ferry Beach. The cottage is a spacious beachfront house with six bedrooms, three baths, and a two-sided wrap-around covered veranda and enclosed sun parlor providing an uninterrupted view of the entire Saco Bay and its several small islands.
Situated at the southern end of Saco Bay’s seven-mile beach, the cottage is unparalleled in its possibilities for fun and relaxation in a casual cottage atmosphere – spring, summer, or fall. Opportunities exist not just for summer swimming, sunbathing and terrific fishing, but also for Old Orchard Beach’s nearby beachfront amusement and family fun attractions. Beautiful oceanfront Ferry Beach State Park with its complex of nature, bicycle, and hiking trails is within brief walking distance just down the beach, and two nearby golf courses boast some of the best golfing in Maine.


At the Boathouse Cottage every effort has been made to provide convenience and comfort in a charming atmosphere for a relaxing and enjoyable seaside family vacation experience.

At the Boathouse Cottage, the six spacious bedrooms are newly decorated to provide a charming, casual, nautical cottage atmosphere for vacation living. The large living room, suitable for the whole household, has a color cable T.V., DVD and free WiFi. The wrap-around sun parlor is complete with a game table, assorted popular board and table games, a cozy daybed, overstuffed chairs and a panoramic oceanfront view. A separate dining room provides seating for the whole household. The fully equipped kitchen contains coordinated china service for twenty, all pots, pans and cooking utensils. It has a four burner gas stove with a large oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with filters, hand mixer and dishwasher. Laundry facilities, located on the first floor, consist of a jumbo washer and dryer. There are three complete bathrooms with footed tub, shower, and tub and shower.

The oceanfront picnic area adjacent to the veranda includes picnic tables, a gas grill, wood fire pit and all necessary BBQ grilling utensils. The charming oceanfront veranda has relaxing, cushioned wicker patio furniture. You’ll enjoy a refreshing, sunny outdoor rinse or shower and shampoo when returning from swimming, fishing or sunbathing on the beach in the outdoor shower.
