Lakefront Summer Cottage in Homewood

Enjoy this Summer Only Lakefront home with your entire family! This is a home you can come back to year after year and create some memories. Lake Tahoe is only steps away! Pack up your family, and head for the LAKE!

This single level home offers a space for everyone to spread out around the home. Discover a new bedroom around every turn! The home is "vintage" which means that the furniture, doors, windows, are all original, but well cared for by the family and friends that return year after year and maintain it. Wake up to a beautiful sunrise, and find yourself lounging on beach most the day. Return to the home, gather up your BBQ food, and enjoy the huge patio with new furniture!

Home is heated by fireplace and bedroom floor heaters. Grandfather originally built in the home in the late 1930's and has been well maintained over the years by the family. This home has a great family story and we hope you make your own family memories here too.

Note: There is NO central heat at this property. There are heaters in every bedroom for added comfort if needed. Please note that the weather can be colder in Spring and Fall, so prepare for colder conditions.

* LAKEFRONT ACCESS- There is no buoy or pier available for use. Neighbors pier NOT ACCESSIBLE.

Parking: There is enough parking for 4 cars at the home. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum overnight occupancy: 8 adults, maximum daytime occupancy: 12 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed. It may be put away for the winter and or for High Wind Red Flag warning days. Propane is not provided in winter months due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Lake front home

We all enjoyed our stay. Quiet location but near everything for groceries, bakery, pizza & state parks to visit. The view of the lake from the bedrooms & living room made the stay perfect!

Fantastic old style cabin on the lake!

This place is fantastic! The house is quaint, but it's all about the location. Lake front doesn't get better than this! My only complaint is that there wasn't a hot tub. But we survived that hardship and loved every second of our stay on this wonderful property.

Old Tahoe Charm

Very charming cabin right on the lake. This is not a brand new fancy mega mansion. Instead, it's the sort of place where the screen door doesn't quite fit right, the kids run down to the beach and you can while away the days with your family.

Bliss on the lake!

This cabin is not just another rental house. This is a well loved home. This cabin is a vintage and magnificent Lake Tahoe original. Waking up to the sunrise view out of the big bay living room windows is unforgettable. The window seat overlooks the lake and wraps you in warmth and comfort. The cabin is rustic. Come prepared for Mountain life with all its charm and quirks. Our entire family loved every minute. The charm and energy of this timeless space made us feel close to the majesty of the nature of this place.

Comfortable & Relaxing Beach Getaway

We planned this weekend as a board retreat getaway so we could relax yet get some work done. It was the perfect combination of beach time, working deck space, and comfort to get the job done. Truly a beautiful spot lakeside. We really appreciated all the great beach furniture, floaters, and paddle boards. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We did have some fun furry friends visit us during our stay so keeping things stowed away in their forest environment was super important but it made the stay more interesting.

A rustic hideaway on the beach

If you are looking for a rustic hideaway that is right on the beach on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this place is perfect for you. We stayed for a week and it was wonderful. The location is full of amenities, not the least of which is the private beach complete with fire pit and furniture, and the fabulous lake views. The younger adults in our group loved trying out the paddle boardds that were available for our use as well as the inflatables that were included. The area is very quiet with an stated quiet time between 9pm and 8am. The kitchen is well stocked, although a bit small, with only a table top oven for baking. And the only table seating is outside, which was perfect for us since we enjoyed eating outside by the lake. I would definitely rent this house again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house for two nights with family visiting from Ohio and had an amazing time start to finish. The rental agency that handles this was always available to answer my questions and was accommodating with check in and check out times. We had a bit of weather to contend with but watching the thunderstorm pass by on the lake while playing board games in the living room was fun. I can’t recommend this place enough. Definitely old school cozy Tahoe, which is the only way to go in my opinion.

Loved the location and the huge outside. The beach was rocky ( I wouldn't advertise as sandy beach) Also if you like to cook the kitchen is extremely small (and dated) w/ NO counter space or eating area. However we did truly enjoy our time ! thank you so much!!!

Our house in the lake

The house and property were wonderful. The house, though old, was spotless and comfortable. The location was ideal. We were able to kyack, paddle board, play horse shoes, or just sit and look at the lake and read. We had a great time.
