Lindal cedar home located next to Dupont State Recreational Forest.

In the middle of 2 1/2 wooded acres. One mile to downtown Cedar Mountain! 15 minutes to Brevard, 30 minutes to Hendersonville, 50 minutes to downtown Asheville. Close to Pisgah National Forest and Gorges State Park and the new Headwaters State Park on the French Broad river. Quiet and secluded. Decks all the way around, large front deck the entire length on the front with a nice view of the wooded area, 16 x 14 foot screened porch. Very easy access to Dupont State Recreational Forest! Dupont State Forest has over 10,000 acres for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. There are 4 major waterfalls, several of which were used in the filming of "The Hunger Games." Pisgah National Forest has many trails. waterfalls, Sliding Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway goes right through! Brevard has a very nice downtown with lots of restaurants, shops, and several breweries including Oskar Blues, Brevard Brewing, and Ecusta Brewery. Sierra Nevada Brewing company is about 30 minutes away just outside Asheville. We are located one mile from Cedar Mountain "downtown!" Cedar Mountain has several great restaurants including The Cedar Mountain Cafe, Creekside Market, and The Outpost. Creekside also offers live music on Saturday evenings. The Canteen has lots of craft beer, wine, ice cream and also has live local music several evenings a week. Studio 276 has live music on weekends, lots of local art and Cedar Mountain moonshine is available! Our walk in 700 square foot basement is ideal for storing bikes with hooks to hang your bike and a hose right outside for cleaning the mud off! Newly remodeled bathrooms on main floor and second floor. All linens and towels are provided and are freshly laundered for your use. Kitchen is completely stocked with all dishes, pots and pans and anything else you may need. Microwave, toaster, and all appliances. Spices, condiments, coffee etc. are all there to get you started as are paper towels and any other paper products.

Mountain delight

This was a perfect location in the mountains. The cabin was extremely comfortable. Very quiet and secluded. The location was perfect for mountain, hiking exploring, biking, and everything that Dupont Forest has to offer Brevard and Hendersonville were short drive away, where there were wonderful, breweries and restaurants and shops to explore.

Incredible place to stay in the Dupont/Pisgah area.

We loved everything about this place. It’s secluded enough to be nice and quiet but still very convenient to all the things you might need while on a trip. It was about a 3 minute drive to one of the main trailheads at Dupont, you can’t beat that. The home itself was super clean and very well equipped. The host was extremely responsive and very nice to deal with. I highly recommend this place.

Girls' week

Four sixty friends and I stayed at Lindal Cedar home for some hiking and touring the area. The owner, Dick, was very helpful in suggesting hikes and amenities in the area. The home was clean and tidy, with convenient screened in porch and outdoor deck overlooking the woods. It was in a lovely, quiet location. We were just minutes from Dupont Recreation Area and Caesar's Head State Park. We spent a day exporing Pisgah Forest and Brevard area, a half hour drive. This was a perfect location for outdoor adventure!

Great cabin

The location in the Dupont Forest was private yet accessible to Brevard and the surrounding hiking trails. The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend at this property. It was easy to check in and beautifully maintained. The kitchen was well stocked. Even though a hurricane knocked out power, Dick came by and set up a generator. He definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Everyone who was there loved the ambience and aesthetic of the cabin. We will definitely stay here again!

Ideal Dupont base

Ideal location for a Dupont State Forest adventure, particularly for biking. Easy ride to Fawn Lake access area, not bad ride to Corn Mill Shoals. Well-stocked kitchen, beautiful deck, obviously well-loved house. Worked great for our family (2 adults, 2 college students and 1 middle schooler). Dick is an exceptionally friendly and helpful host.

Great spot for the whole family

The home is comfortable and has all sorts of amenities thoughout the cabin. We cooked almost every morning & evening. The kitchen is fully equipped + had ample supply of detergents. Favorites for our group included hanging out on the deck watching the colorful little birds & eating on the screened in porch. The location was convenient for hiking and chasing waterfalls in DuPont State Park. We’d go back !

May the forest be with You!

We had a great time together just hanging out at the cabin. We grilled steaks and burgers and we enjoyed the large porches. Great location for going places like Table Rock, Caesars Head , Pretty Place, Sassafras Mountain, Pisgah National Forest, and DuPont. Believe it or not in our shirt time there we got to them all! Also everyone should go to Flat Rock Wood Room to eat at least one night. Beware you might wish it was two!

Short getaway

The house was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some! I love the rustic charm in the woods and yet my Verizon phone worked the entire time. I was able to keep up with work and getaway at the same time! The location is ideal for getting to Dupont State Park which was a beautiful experience. There were 3 of us (me and my two teenagers) and we had family come over to celebrate my daughter's birthday, so 6 in total for a dinner and games and it was very comfortable. I am very thankful that these owners are sharing their lovely Mountain Hi home!
