Great spot for all of your Black Hills activities. Easy access to Sturgis, Kool Deadwood Nights, Spearfish Canyon, Terry Peak Ski Resort, Mount Rushmore, Historic Deadwood, and Crazy Horse Monument to name a few. Room for larger groups. Garage parking, two driveways, and on-street parking. Room for RV or trailer in upper driveway. Great views overlooking Lead and the open cut. Modern updates in this 1884 piece of history. Close to hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking/biking trails.

The space
Beautifully restored 1884 home which was built by the first doctor of the Homestake Gold Mine. 2200 square foot home with off street parking for 6 vehicles (2 driveways and garage). With this, there is ample on street parking for trailers--2 car garage for the toys. 3 stories plus a basement with a full deck on top of the garage overlooking the open cut and firework displays. Minutes to the wonders of Deadwood, Homestake Mine, and the Terry Peak Ski Resort. The first floor includes a foyer, large living room with a 55" TV, large dining room with table equipped to seat 6-10, full kitchen, as well as a newly remodeled full bath. From the kitchen, one can access the garage or upper deck. The second floor boasts three bedrooms—the master with a king and the others with queen beds, flat screen TVs, as well as a large full bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Ascending to the 3rd floor will reveal a large bonus room equipped with two queen beds and a twin bed. The home has original hardwood floors and 8' pocket doors on the main level. The home has a full kitchen, ceiling fans in every room, and two sets of new super capacity washers and dryers. All beds are new in 2024.

Why they chose this property

The wonder, history and amazement that the Black Hills affords have grasped at out hearts. From decades of motorcycling these hills, spending time with friends and family who live in the area, we were in search of a property that had both history and functionality. We chose this home for its location, rich history, and ability to service our family. From the doctor who built it in 1884, its charm teems. Adjacent to the hundreds of miles of hiking and ATV trails, to the history and magnetism of Deadwood, to the ski slopes of Terry Peak, we found a spot that can be shared with others.
