The owner went above and beyond in every aspect with the amenities in the home, toiletries, laundry detergent (you name it) and excellent communication. He even gave us a wedding gift for our stay there on our honeymoon. Fantastic place!
I highly recommend this beautiful and peaceful cabin. The view of Pikes Peak from the deck was quite a treat and the inside was beautifully decorated. Thank you Andy for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin.Sandy
Beautiful views in a home big enough for a large family. The cabin feel, large property and huge deck add to the greatness of the home. We saw plenty of wildlife including a doe and her fawn. Andy is an amazing host and was quick to respond during our stay. We would love to come back.
Matterhorn Meadows would get 6 stars if it were possible. We were blown away by the well maintained property, the ultra clean cabin , the gorgeous views and great location! . Andy and family were exceptional hosts and were easily accessible throughout our entire stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!.
We immensely enjoyed our stay! Everything was so beautiful and the house had everything we needed and more! The friendly wildlife stole the show as we communed with the deer, jays, squirrels and turkeys.
Just a great place. The home is wonderful, well appointed and clean, great area to visit winter or summer to escape the world. Wonderful hosts and everything was as expected.
Amazing property. I have never rented a property where there is not one thing I can think of to improve the property or experience. Until now. The manager/owner was so helpful. He gave us great recommendations on things to do in the area. The house was impecable upon arrival, check in was easy, the location was fabulous and the views were incredible. We bought groceries to cook dinners for the week and expected to need to pick up little things but they had every cooking dish, pan, seasoning, etc that we needed. The three bedrooms were so spacious, and the bonus room downstairs was perfect for the kids. The bathrooms were also perfectly stocked. We stayed with family & friends and still were able to have our own space. Wildlife was great as well. The easiest and best experience we’ve had. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!
In all reality, Matterhorn Meadows is what you would expect from a high quality VRBO in the mountains; the host, the property, the views, the location, the wildlife, the abundance of attractions within an hours drive were all phenomenal! If you are looking to stay in this area, this is the place for you!
The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and the view of Pikes Peak was amazing. Little touches the owners thought of made it that much better. We loved being away from the towns and in the quiet hills. We would definitely stay here again.
We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful property and can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we booked, the host's communication was top-notch—prompt, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to provide us with detailed recommendations for local activities, dining spots, and hidden gems, which made planning our trip effortless and exciting. The property itself is a dream—tucked away in a secluded, peaceful location that feels like your own private retreat. It's the perfect place to unwind, far from crowds and noise, with nothing but nature and tranquility all around.Inside, the space is impressively generous. Every room feels spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it ideal for both quiet relaxation and group gatherings. We never felt cramped, even with a full group. One of the absolute highlights was the kitchen. It’s incredibly well-stocked—far beyond the basics you usually find in a vacation rental. There was a full range of appliances (including multiple coffee makers, crockpots, and just about anything you would need!), and every utensil or piece of cookware we could possibly need. Whether you're whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a full family dinner, this kitchen has you covered. This place offers the perfect mix of comfort, seclusion, and hospitality. If you're looking for a serene escape with hosts who truly care about your experience, look no further. We’re already planning our return!
I would highly recommend staying at Miles from Anything, In the Middle of Everything. Andy is a great host who really wants his guests to enjoy their stay and makes sure you have everything you need. The house was well stocked with things in the kitchen, bathroom, and everything else. I can’t say enough good about Andy.
Staying at this beautiful cabin was amazing. Our entire family loved hanging out or coming home to this peaceful cabin. There were deer, turkeys, squirrels, and chipmunks seen daily. The home was stocked with everything you could possibly need - from the kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Andy, the host, was quick to respond to any questions we had before, during, and after the stay. When we return to Colorado Springs, we will, without a doubt, stay here.
We loved our stay! It’s the perfect combination of remote and convenient. The house is beautifully kept and fully stocked. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, working grill, excellent view from the patio. We rarely heard anyone around us, but enjoyed the deer, birds, rabbits, and chipmunks ! We we hope to go back!!
This location had all we needed including quality supplies, beautiful surroundings, great location for our adventures, plenty of space for gathering or relaxing on your own. Communication from the owners was excellent. We were gifted with a visit from Natasha, the deer who came right up to us when we were outside. We enjoyed the deck for relaxing below Pike's Peak and observing an incredible night sky. Exceptional vacation location with excellent amenities.
We loved our stay here!
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including a well stocked kitchen, full laundry, plenty of towels, ( not always the case with other rentals! ) and the king bed was very comfortable.
We enjoyed the view of Pike’s Peak from the living room and deck, and the stars at night are incredible!
The are many places to hike, and we really enjoyed the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument just a short distance away.
We loved the peace and quiet, the wildlife, and the gorgeous scenery, and we hope to be back!
Our stay in Florissant was one of the most relaxing vacations we've had. Andy Moore was a wonderful host -- he communicated with us several times to be sure we had everything we needed. His home was super clean and had all the items needed for our stay. It was close to grocery stores and interesting tourist attractions that our son and grandson enjoyed. We wish we could have stayed longer. The place was just as beautiful the pictures on the website. You will be very happy if you choose to stay at Andy's home.
We loved the property from the moment we pulled up. Set away from the road and very quiet with a few neighbors that weren’t too close. The house was very spacious with plenty of room and bathrooms for everyone. Very well stocked with everything you think you might need. Andy was super easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. Easy enough to get to Colorado Springs for the day and get back to relax.
House was great and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. Coming to Colorado I had the expectation of snow but wasn’t prepared for three feet on our first night! Communication was great with the Moores and they did their best to get us squared away before and during our trip. Unfortunately the snow impacted our plans but we are already talking about coming back in the summer for a redo and hope the property is available. If you’re looking to book this place you can’t go wrong.
This host knows how to care for their guests! The house was more than advertised, very accommodating, we felt valued! The houses warmth and details to caring for us could be seen and felt! We left a Nintendo cord and the owner offered to ship it to me!
The house was a great get away for me and my family! We will consider this house again on a future trip! Thanks for those memories!
This property is located in a beautiful area, full of pine trees, with deer, squirrels, and plenty of birds that visit daily. The house felt more like a home away from home, rather than just a place to stay. It is fully stocked with everything you need for a week long vacation like we took. You only need to bring food to feed your family, everything else is provided, including pots and pans, plenty of dishes, shampoo and conditioners, towels, washer and dryer, board games, binoculars and even a telescope. Pikes Peak is visible from inside the house and the deck! The owner even provided bird food. I will definitely stay here again on our next Colorado vacation!!
We were a bit hesitant because of the lack of reviews, but am I so glad we took a chance. The property is beautiful, the cabin is spacious and well appointed. It has also been recently remodeled. The wildlife around the cabin in unbelievable. Everything was absolutely top notch from the feed for the wildlife to the furnishings, appliances, kitchen tools, to the makeup wipes in the bathrooms. The owner was attentive and amazing. Great view of Pike's Peak. I would stay there (and will) again and again. I cannot say enough nice things. Thank you.
Andy was a wonderful host! He called before our trip and filled us in with details and asked if we had any questions. The house was amazing! We spent most of our time star-gazing and drinking coffee on the deck. Oh, and the deer came by several times a day to say hello. What a treat! Our second favorite space was the kitchen. There is lots of room to get everyone, even kids, involved with cooking. We had everything we needed and more to make breakfast and dinner everyday.
Andy, thank you for creating such a peaceful place for people to stay, rest, and rejuvinate!
Matterhorn Meadow is an amazing property with absolutely stunning views of Pike’s Peak. It’s incredibly clean and well appointed. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a week in the mountains. Andy is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to ensure a great guest experience. We spent Christmas here and were greeted with a beautifully decorated tree, a lovely Christmas cactus and other adornments. It really made our stay extra special. Kids and adults alike enjoyed seeing the wildlife including deer, a bobcat and her baby, turkeys and numerous other birds visiting the feeder right outside of the living room window. We had a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) and there was plenty of space for everyone. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend checking this place out. You won’t be disappointed!
Our stay was spectacular!! My Wife and I stayed for 9 nights. We loved everything about the Cabin, the area we stayed and our host, Andy.
The Cabin: Beautiful view of Pikes Peak (I think it is better than the photo even shows), Perfectly stocked with so many kitchen supplies, towels, and wood for the fireplace. 3 stories tall and very homey. The walk in shower downstairs is amazing, and we loved the kitchen. It's also well kept and very updated. Hands down 10/10.
Highly recommend places nearby that My Wife & I traveled:
Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Breckenridge, and Eleven Mile Canyon Road.
In Woodland Park: Righteous Grounds Coffee shop, Java Haus, The Donut Mill,
Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant, and a little outside Woodland Park: The Pantry.
A nice trail to hike: Rainbow Gultch Trailhead.
Also, a spectacular well hidden coffee shop close to the Cabin, my Wife & I found and maybe the best coffee nearby is:
Wild Horses Cafe.
The Host: Andy was amazing! He left my Wife & I, flowers, wine, and chocolate. He also asked me to call before our trip and told me about some really cool local places to check out and other logistics concerning places to get groceries, gas, restaurants, etc.
He called to check and texted us just making sure we had everything we needed.
Thanks for everything Andy!
You helped make our Honeymoon perfect.
We hope you have many more people try your amazing Cabin.
God bless.
