Kona/Keauhou

The sunny Kona Coast is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and rich Hawaiian history. Visit cherished landmarks like Hulihe'e Palace, Moku'aikaua Church, and Ahu'ena Heiau—just 8 miles south of the Kona International Airport.
Kona is a world-class destination for deep-sea fishing, home to the annual International Billfish Tournament in August and the legendary IRONMAN World Championship in October. The cooler upland slopes are famous for producing the region's celebrated Kona coffee.
From snorkeling, scuba diving, and paddling to spotting spinner dolphins and sea turtles along the shore, daily adventures abound. Or simply relax with a cocktail or meal along Ali'i Drive as boats glide by.
At the southern end of Kailua-Kona, Keauhou Bay—birthplace of King Kamehameha III—is known for its calm waters, ideal for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. It's also a prime spot for manta ray encounters and ocean excursions.
