About this property

Stunning Lake House Retreat

Come and relax in a tranquil setting at Gisborne point - Lake Rotoiti. This two-storied house has a large spacious deck, with lake views and comfortably accommodates 2 families or 3 couples. The house is situatied only meters from the boat ramp .

With 3 queen beds upstairs, and a total of 6 single beds downstairs there is plenty of living space and parking for everyone! Cook your trout on the BBQ, fish using our fishing Kayak (you will need a trout license and rod) or just paddle around the bay. Three other sit on kayaks are available. Please bring your own lifejackets as we have some available but cannot guarantee your sizing

Please note: You will need to provide your own linen. (sheets, pillowcases, towels) but we do provide Duvets, Pillows, Blankets, mattress protectors, tea towels and cloths.

Recently renovated, this is a delightful place for two or three families. Whether summer or winter this is a lovely retreat, with blackout thermal curtains for a great nights sleep.

A log fire keeps the place cosy and a lovely big bay window allows you to bask as the morning sun pours in. Oil heaters and electric blankets in the upstairs bedrooms

Our Kitchen is a modern, fully equipped kitchen has a full sized oven, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery.
The lounge and dining are open plan with double doors extending living space onto our deck.
Soak in a bath while on holiday (Upstairs has a shower over bath and a separate toilet )
There is lockable garaging for you bikes, or other items
Freeview TV (DVD also) and an extra DVD player downstairs

Downstairs, off the large newly carpeted rumpus room, there is a second shower and toilet.
A high quality front loader washing machine, and dryer are available
Assorted magazines, books, games, and puzzles,

Lots of parking space ,away from main road
Safety gates are available for both internal stairs external stairs.
The Section has a fence and gates to prevent access to the road but there is access through a fence to the neighbour's property so the section is not FULLY fenced.
Reserve 200m away. Feed the swans or ducks from the beach or jetty.
Safe swimming bay
Hot Pools, Bush walks and mountain biking tracks are within a short driving distance.
There is a local golf course
The Redwoods 15 min drive away. Boiling mud at Kurau park, in Rotorua (15 min drive). The Blue lake, (approx 20 minutes drive). Whakatane 50min

An awesome property, plenty of room, really nicely furnished and set up. We were two families and had plenty of room. Great parking, enough for our 2 boats. Very close to the boat ramp. Fantastic communication from Jenny. Highly recommend.

Cosy and comfortable

We had a great time! The property was perfect for our large group with plenty of space for everyone. It had a relaxed feel and we felt we could make it our own while there. We all got out on the kayaks even though it was pretty cold but the warm fire was going for when we got home! Thank you very much I’d like to think we will be back. Rotoiti is beautiful!!

Only stayed 2 nites enjoyed it. House clean and tidy plenty of space downstairs for kids, the kids beds are bigger than seem in picture shown big enough for adult. Upstairs beds comfy, very peacefull and quiet at night. View in morning was beautiful.

Was so great to have a weekend away with the kids, this was no stress with 7 children and 4 adults. there were baby gates for the patio steps and to the down statirs area to reduce the stress levels. A 2 min walk to the boat ramp and the small rec area round the road. thanks for letting us use your home.

The property was great for what we needed with two families and Grandma staying. In a great location by the lake and near the boat ramp. We could sit on the deck and watch the biscuiting! Downstairs great for all the kids, with lots of games to entertain, although the waterpipes were a bit noisy for them!

We purchased this lovely place as an extended family in 2008. It has been a wonderful place to make memories as a family.

Why they chose this property

We love using this property ourselves. We have had several families staying here at once, creating some fantastic memories at this property. The kitchen allows us to create homecooked meals, and we use the lake to fish, ski, biscuit, kayak, or swim. The outdoor setting adds indoor outdoor flow on a balmy summers evening.
During the winter we enjoy basking in the sun that pours in the dining area through the bay window or sit by the fire playing board games or making puzzles.
Tui's and Native Pigeons, and fantails fly around the property.
There is plenty of room for everyone, including cars and boats with the boat ramp walking distance from the house.
This is a quite out of town location.

What makes this property unique

12 min to Rotorua Airport, 15 min to Te Ngae shop centre, 20 min drive to Rotorua. Whakatane 45 min, lake very close with accessable boat ramp and enough parking for boats/trailers and several vehicles
