ACCOMMODATE 19 - OCEAN FRONT.

TOHORANUI has become one of the most popular beach stays over the last 10 years. We have now made major improvements to the original hot spot. Tohoranui has become 2 apartments, One apartment is the hosts accommodation. The 2nd apartment is exclusively designed for 19 guests. We have designed the layout so our guests not only get excellent value, but also experience spacious living while on holiday.

TOHORANUI is located at 703 Pukehina Parade at Pukehina Beach in the beautiful Western Bay of Plenty. We are 45 minutes from Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane all being tourist hot spots from NZ culture to a volcanic White Island adventure. The closest supermarket is in Te Puke about 15 minutes drive. There are 2 stores with takeaways at Pukehina beach. We also have a restaurant and bar (The Hippy Pipi.) Pukehina Beach is perfect for a relaxed break or action packed adventure. The usual experiences at Pukehina Beach is fishing for Snapper, Kahawai and Gurnard by surfcasting, kontiki, kayak or from a boat launched from the boat ramp just a few metres from our front gate. Flounder can be caught netting in the estuary. Shellfish (kaimoana) pipi, tuatua, mussels and paddle crabs can also be harvested in the estuary or surf. Beach walks are a must along the sandy Bay of Plenty coast. Kayaking can be exciting in the surf or simply leisurely exploring the Pukehina estuary.

We had a great time staying at this property for our family get together. Plenty of room for 18 people and well set up with everything we needed. Warm during winter with fireplace (wood provided) and heaters. Beach 1 minute walk away. Handy to both Mount Maunganui and Rotorua activities.

What wonderful place to celebrate my Mum's milestone turning 90 in Pukehina. A perfect home to gather with friends and family with great kitchen and spaces to share meals and laughs. Basic rooms but everything that is required is there.Tip - Do bring you own tea and coffee and everything, there are no provisions.
