Based on the resounding success of their first boutique business - one Orange - the architect owner Michael and wife Robbie have developed what they believe will be a holiday accommodation destination to be envied.
Set amongst vineyards managed by Sileni, with pasture land next door and views to the sea and Cape Kidnappers, the unit has been built to encompass the beautiful surroundings whilst maintaining a high level of comfort and privacy.
The choice of location is much to do with the couple's own enjoyment of a range of outdoor activities and the finer things in life! The property offers many walking options without ever going out the gate. There are both road and trail cycling options galore, an international quality golf course 10 minutes drive away, numbers of fly fishing rivers close to hand and is just 15 minutes drive from both Hastings and Napier and 10 minutes to Havelock North.
For the keen cyclist Robbie and Michael have Italian Colnago road bikes with Shimano gear for hire (there are a range of sizes to suit most people), or alternatively grab their off road bikes to tackle the 180km of trails through the region
In addition to all there is to offer, a focus has been made on ensuring a high level of comfort, whilst keeping costs below the top end of the market. The linen is delicious, decor stunning and the unit has a number of pieces of art by local artists, some of which are for sale.
Michael and Robbie enjoy good food and wine, and as an accomplished home cook, Robbie is happy to offer guests wine / food match dinners when time permits.

Just a great place to stay with great hosts. Great walking, cycling and wineries all close-by. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hawke’s Bay.
Beautiful spot, welcoming hosts, well-appointed accomodation. Grounds are immaculate, and the salt water lap pool is refreshing! Thoughtful touches, such as fresh fruit and wine. Make sure you stay here!

It was so lovely to meet you both and have you stay...and thank you so much for your kind messages of care and concern after the cyclone that we have just experienced in our region. While we are relatively unscathed at oO2, many of our friends are badly affected, and thoughts and messages of care are so very much appreciated
A beautiful cottage with a magnificent view over the vines. This self contained cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very caring and helpful owners. Well worth a visit!

Lovely spot in the sun
Salt water pool is fabulous on a hot day. Convenient to the beach, and wineries, and short drive to Havelock North. Very clean and comfortable studio for a couple retreat.

Thank you for your review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your time with us, and we look forward to seeing you both back here again. We will try to organise the same good weather ;-)
Better than expected, as the listing can’t convey the real-life beauty of the place and property, as well as the loveliness of the hosts, Robbie and Michael. A wonderful hospitality experience with all the personal touches of a private home vs a hotel. Not to mention the not-to-be-missed Hawkes Bay region. We enjoyed every moment.
A tranquil setting among the vines with sun and views. Well appointed accommodation with luxury extras so there everything you need to rest and cook. Excellent hosts made great recommendations for cycling and things to do. Highly recommended.

Lovely to have you both here...and best of all, you got the time out and rest you were after! Would love to see you back sometime
Superb experience. The accommodation is delightful, with a wonderful views across the vines and towards Cape Kidnappers, a great sunrise and native bird life. Robbie and Mike are warm, friendly hosts with plenty of helpful tips on things to do, including on the local wines. We had certainly everything we needed plus unexpected fresh local treats. We'll be back for some more great memories.

Such a lovely time with great and easy guests. Always a pleasure to know the extra little things have made a difference.
Looking forward to your return!
We arrived earlier than expected but the hosts were happy to accommodate. The first night they provided a glorious food platter to complement our wine.
We had full access to the property including pool, BBQ, clothes-line, etc. Hosts gave us references for great wine tasting and side-trips. Robbie & Michael are clearly freat hosts!
A lovely studio space to rest up after enjoying the local shops, activities each day. The internet/netflicks was unfortunately too slow so watched DVDs over two nights. Thanks to Robbie and Michael for the bach and the lovely bottle of wine upon arrival.
Lovely unit in a great position. Adjacent to the owner's property but completely private. It's a studio but the bed is in a separate alcove area separated from the living area by a translucent curtain so it feels like a separate room.Everything was very well equipped, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended and we plan to return.

Sorry we couldn't organise better weather for your stay - glad you still managed to get out on the bikes and get a dip in the pool. Thanks for choosing to stay with us, we do appreciate it
So much beauty right on our doorstep in Aotearoa NZ. An amazing week reminding us what a beautiful country we live in. Robbie and Mike made us so welcome. From a generous invitation to a shared dinner, guided road cycling up quiet valleys, to dips in the pool amongst the vines, we loved this studio in a truly stunning setting. Thank you for the week - a chance to recharge and enjoy all the Hawkes Bay has to offer, made even better for all of Robbie & Mike’s recommendations.

Delighted your time at ours was so enjoyed. Such a pleasure to have you both stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful studio. Small, but everything is beautiful and what you need is there, incl a fully equipped kitchen. The views are lovely and the pool..... wow! The hosts are welcoming and very helpful, so all in all we really recommend this place!
Lovely place to stay, nice outlook, handy to Havelock North restaurants and wineries. Swimming pool is a bonus, and friendly hosts. Would definitely stay again.
The space was great, the place was great, the location was great...we absolutely loved our time at Robbie and Michael's and can't wait to go back. Great place for a getaway, walking distance to wineries and you can't beat the pool and views over the vineyards to the sea :)
Good location, ideal for hiring some bikes and going around wineries, studio well equipped and well presented, nice and private would happily recommend
Thanks to Robbie and Michael for hosting us in such a beautiful part of Aotearoa. The cottage is perfectly set up, comfortable and inviting and with such good access to wineries, orchards, good restaurants and beach walks. Next time we will definitely try the bikes!
In a unique environment, surrounded by vines, Michael and Robbie have provided a special place to be enjoyed. Peaceful and quiet it was the perfect choice for us to re-emerge "post lockdown" and adjust to a different world.
The unit was very comfortable and clean with an excellent breakfast and few unexpected treats. We have loved staying here so thank you Michael and Robbie for sharing it with us.
