THE HARBOR HOUSE LODGE! Enjoy water sports, golf, skiing and more.

Harbor Springs lodge nestled between Boyne Highlands and Nub’s Nob ski resorts. Just 5 minutes from Lake Michigan and Harbor Springs Bay Area including Little Traverse Bay (the nicest bay of all the Great Lakes).

For land and water enthusiasts we have many luxurious local golf courses and crystal clear beautiful inland lakes. Walking distance to the award winning Teddy Griffin’s Roadhouse for the best meal in Harbor Springs and local convenient/liquor store with all the necessities. Just 9 miles to Petoskey where you will enjoy many attractions and entertainment including downtown dining, shops and more. 30 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinaw City with ferry rides daily to Mackinac island (a must do experience for everyone).

The Harbor House Lodge has a large great room with sunken fire place and 8 person bar top. In addition, there is a separate gathering place on the main floor to sit and enjoy the views of an occasional black squirrel or turkey passing by outside.

For sleeping arrangements, on the main floor, we offer a private king sized master suite with large walk in shower and custom bathroom. Also on the main floor are two separate queen bedrooms with private access to a full bathroom. There is another king bed in the open private loft space. While up here, enjoy the large picture windows and beautiful views. In the loft there are (2) trundle beds that can accommodate anyone of any age or size. Two full bathrooms are available in the loft as well. In the basement you’ll find a queen bed, twin bed and a futon. Also in the basement, you’ll want to play some pool or throw darts while enjoying the entertainment center, bar and games.

This house offers a large kitchen with all cookwares needed to make a spectacular meal!! There is a charcoal grill onsite if you choose to cookout and enjoy the spacious yard area and fire pit. We have a large outdoor deck with wooded scenery. Plenty of parking space. Easy access in a private neighborhood.

If you should need to work while enjoying your stay, there is WiFi available and perfectly capable of holding any virtual meetings

This place was awesome! Very spacious and and plenty of seating. The basement was incredible. After a long day on the slopes we came back and played pool and foosball. The home theater was hit. Amazing way to watch football! It’s just a great place and the owners were very responsive to any questions.

Great place for a large group

The house was comfortable and accommodated our large extended family ranging in age from 2 to 76 years-old. One of the best aspects of this rental is the responsiveness of the owner. We communicated many times prior and during our visit. Responses were prompt and helpful. The best communication I’ve ever had with a VRBO host.

Great ski location!

Great location between Nubs and The Highlands with a few minutes drive to each. Very clean with comfortable beds and a stocked kitchen. Loved the large dining table and gathering space for our large group. EZ Mart across the street was a bonus! Responsive homeowner

Fantastic house and host

The house was very clean and the check in/out process was simple. This is great if you have a group of people. We had 7 and there was plenty of privacy, but also great space to hang out as a group. The host was very polite and fast to answer questions. The location is quiet but very close to everything you need. We would certainly stay again if in the area!

Great Location for Golf Trip

A group of of us stayed here for a long golf weekend. It was an ideal location for the Boyne Highlands courses and also very easy to access Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Communication was seamless with the owners. The home was clean with all necessities provided. Whenever our group returns to play again, we’ll definitely stay at the Harbor House.

The Harbor House

loved the warm feeling right when you enter the house. They had a batch of Tom Tom's cookies waiting for us when we arrived with a cute note welcoming us to the house. Everything was cleaned and ready to go for us. The house was spacious and fit 13 people easily. Loved the privacy of the bathrooms for each room.

Golf Trip - Early Summer 2023

Location was great, easy checkin process, and very clean. Listing this property as a 7 bedroom is a stretch. There is a loft upstairs that you must count as three separate bedrooms when it is really one large room with some half wall dividers.

Great Location

This property was located just minutes from both Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. It was perfect for a ski weekend. The house was big enough for our group, clean and the kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook at the cabin. This location accommodated our group well. There are plenty of beds for a large group however there are only three private bedrooms. There is a spacious loft with sleeping areas and bathrooms as well as a basement with beds. I would recommend this property.

Place needs attention

For the price point the owner needs to place lamps in bedrooms and update damaged furniture, place is showing signs of neglect. The price point didn’t reflect the excellence you’d expect but the place has potential. We had to sweep the deck and wash cushions before enjoying. There is a black ant infestation in the kitchen that needs immediate attention.

Great Location

Harbor House had much room for my family of 12 but the bedroom situation was not ideal. Three sections of the loft were identified as bedrooms but offered no privacy as there were only half walls separating them. We needed the rooms for 2 adult couples and one single adult and they didn't like the lack of privacy. Two other bedrooms with Queen beds had very little room to move around or unpack suitcases and one of these rooms had a bed that continued to bang our shins as we had to shimmy around the bed to get to the bathroom. Also, some of the sheets seemed that they were not laundered as they were stained and had unpleasant odor. We loved the eating and lounging space since the whole family could be together. We were disappointed by the lack of outdoor gather space, the weather was nice but we didn't have the room to enjoy sitting/eating outside. We had a great week nonetheless and as long as you have young folks sleeping in the loft, it works well.

Great house for a large gathering

We rented this VRBO to celebrate my fathers-in-law's 80th birthday with 15 family members. There was plenty of room for everyone, it was a great location to everything and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. That being said, it was disappointing that we didn't have enough bedding, towels, pillows, toilet paper and the propane tank for the fire pit was empty. The owners were wonderful about getting back to us and finding a solution for these issues right away. It's unfortunate that the management company has clearly not stocked this home as it should be for large parties. We didn't let any of this ruin our stay however, we have stayed at many VRBO's over the years, and this was the first time we've ever had to reach out to the owner because the house wasn't stocked as it should be. We were happy the owners were so responsive to solve the issues. Hopefully they will be checking in on the property to make sure the management group is doing their job.
