Three chalets: The Steller Jay chalet is calendered and booked here. The Wild Rose chalet at VRBO 150525; the Eagles Aerie chalet at VRBO 462399

The three chalets are each private and secluded on five acres of hillside among spruce, hemlock, birch and willow trees over-looking Trail Lake in the CHUGACH NATIONAL FOREST. Each has it's own hot tub, high speed internet, an amazing view.

CENTRALLY LOCATED in the middle of all there is to do on the KENAI PENINSULA:
15 minutes to Cooper Landing; 30 to Seward; 1 hour to Whittier, Prince William Sound, Alyeska, and Soldotna & the Lower Kenai; 2.5 hours to Homer; and 90 minutes from Anchorage.

Relax surrounded by snow-capped mountains, overlooking turquoise-colored Trail Lake.

The world-famous KENAI & RUSSIAN Rivers are just minutes away - world class fishing for salmon and trout, or rafting and bear viewing.

Wonderful stay in Moose Pass! The chalet was conveniently located between Seward and Anchorage. Having breakfast already prepared for us for the first morning by the host was a really nice surprise! I would definitely recommend staying here.

The perfect mountain retreat. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was great overlooking the mountains. It was a really wonderful property. Highly recommend. The hosts even left us a homemade French toast dish for the next morning that was excellent!

The views of the lake and surrounding mountains from the Chalet are amazing! Hot tub was great for seeing views and relaxing after outdoor excursions. Host was kind and welcoming, and provided helpful suggestions on activities nearby and fishing. Overall, we had a memorable experience visiting the Kenai Peninsula, and would stay here again if ever back.

We had the best time in this location and in this chalet. It was central to so many wonderful spots to explore and also had their own amazing views and lake access. It was perfect for our large family and we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place

We had a lovely time at Stellar Jay Chalet in Moose Pass. The home was very nice and so clean. Location amazing and the views are gorgeous. Highly recommend. Host, Gary, is super nice and helpful. Hope we can go back one day!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stellar Jay. The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was great and the view of the mountains and lake was beautiful. Very thoughtful hosts left us a French toast casserole that was delicious. This house is great for hanging out and a good home base for hiking and rafting and fishing.

What a fantastic place. Well equipped - we made several meals there. The view was amazing. The hot tub was clean and we appreciated the rules around it to keep it sanitized. Dark curtains helped with the summer sun. Nice drive into Seward and Kenai. Overall definitely recommended.

We really really enjoyed our stay! The views of the mountains were beautiful, and the space was perfect for our group of 7. We got to enjoy the hot tub as well, a great way to end our chilly day adventures!

I would stay here again

Everything you could want in a vacation rental. Beautiful lakeside mountain view, privacy, responsive host, homemade breakfast surprising us on our arrival, canoes available for stunning paddling, plenty of nearby hiking, short drive to Seward. We loved our stay and hope to return in the future!

Great place to stay. Fully equipt!

we had a wonderful stay for Christmas. It was even decorated with carols playing when we arrived. So warm and cozy and plenty of things to do outside. Only downside is that its pretty expensive after you add up all the fees and taxes.

No comparable property on the Eastern Peninsula. Incredible mountain-surround location, close to the best hiking, fishing, kayaking, on the Peninsula- only 90 miles from Anchorage, and 30 miles to the ocean. Our multi-generational family destination for decades.
