Amazing stay, great location and property. We had so much fun here. Only 4/5 was due to a bit of cleanliness and water pressure / temperature. Floor were a bit sticky. Showers were terrible pressure and often no heat.

Thank you for coming !!
We (8 adults, 2 kids) had a great stay at this property on Mount Desert island. Very clear check in instructions and easy to get into the property. The house is huge - very spacious with plenty of communal areas, bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped and had all that you would need.. fridges were a bit old but still worked fine. It also has a lovely outdoor space with a sofa, plenty of chairs and a fire pit, that backs into woods. Very private and felt secluded. Also great for stargazing at night as it's outside the urban areas. Access to Acadia was easy - the house is right next to some areas of the park and it's easy to get to the loop road and main attractions. There is a well equipped grocery a few miles away and Southwest Harbor is not too far (10 min drive) for restaurants and shops. All in all, the house was perfect for our large group and we had a fantastic time - thank you!

We are so happy to hear your family enjoyed the seclusion and space of the house! A perfect spot for stargazing! Come back and see us soon!
Beautiful home, very spacious. Plenty of bathrooms for all of us to get ready. Kitchen well stocked for cooking for large group. Indoor and outdoor table large enough for entire group. Excellent communication from host, very quick and responsive. Check in and check out easy. Very few check out request. The one thing that was not wonderful is that only 2 bedrooms had air conditioning. Probably not a huge deal for most of the year but a few nights were miserable for the folks staying in those rooms in July (there were plenty of fans). The 2nd bedroom downstairs had doors made of glass so we did have to throw a blanket on them to provide privacy also. Overall a great house, everything else excellent!

Melissa, thank you for your review! We truly appreciate your feedback and recommendations for future guests! Please come back and visit soon!
We had a great stay. The house was clean and had plenty of room for all 9 of us. It also allowed us to be together in one space when we wanted to. The house was close to things we wanted to see and do in Acadia and the setting of the house was great. The property is beautiful and secluded, allowing for privacy. I wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the outdoor space. The only negative we experienced was consistently poor water pressure, which made it difficult at times with 9 people. We were told it was due to the drought conditions they have been experiencing this year. We were able to enjoy the pellet stove and are grateful for the pellets that were dropped off so we could enjoy the fire. One other minor complaint is that during the booking process, I was given the choice of purchasing damage insurance or putting down a significant deposit that would be returned at owner’s discretion. I opted for the insurance since you never know these days what type of owner you might encounter. This information was not offered in the description and only came up during the booking process as I was paying. By that time I had invested a lot of time and energy finding a house that satisfied the needs of 9 adults. I would like to have known up front that this additional expense would be necessary.
