Pacific Pineapple - Meredith Lodging
Pass through the picket fence in the back of Pacific Pineapple and you’ll find yourself in a sweet enclosed courtyard that beckons you to take a chair and watch the dune grass sway and soak up the sounds of the ocean. The second bedroom is perfect for the kids or an additional couple with a queen and a twin bed. The home is located in the Shorepine Village, which has private beach access and walking trails galore!
It’s an easy walk out the front door to the splendor of the Pacific City beach and Haystack Rock, not to mention award-winning beer at the Pelican Pub or world-class dining at The Meridian. Very nice location, central for walking to beach and to downtown Pacific city. The oven did not heat evenly or have a predictable temperature and the stove is a bit offkilter. The keypad lock was a bit finicky and I alerted the owner who said the battery was fine and we were able to make it work most days after multiple attempts.
There were a few items that needed addressing but the property management was EXCELLENT about responding and communicating. From the description of the property, it seemed like the beach was a lot closer. You DO walk across the boardwalk and boom, you are right there...on a dune. You need to walk/slide down a sandy slope that, to be honest, will be an issue for some people. Not a biggie to get down but could be to get up. We just took our chairs and sat on top of the dune to get sunset views. Saw a whale while we were there for the surf competition! Something to note...The bed was very comfy!
