About this property

Cozy Cabin in the national forest

We're located 11 miles north of Pagosa Springs along a scenic mountain road that leads to a secluded spot surrounded by the San Juan National Forest. This 1,400 sq ft, two-story cabin offers one private bedroom with an outdoor balcony plus a loft with multiple beds. A fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, gas stove & wood-burning stove, and electric heat are available for your convenience. Relax outside on the deck that overlooks a valley with 2 ponds and northern peak views. The cabin sits on 2 wooded acres at 9,000 ft elevation surrounded by aspens, spruce, and fir trees, that's home to mule deer, elk, fox, chipmunks, and an assortment of birds.
This cabin is located in a small settlement named Lost Valley of the San Juans. There are few friendly neighbors, but they are spread out among the valley.
The Weminuche Wilderness and Fourmile trailhead are very close. They offer breathtaking views of waterfalls, creeks, rivers, and high mountain lakes.

We are 30 minutes from Pagosa Springs, 1 hour and 45 minutes from downtown Creede, and 1 hour and 40 minutes from Durango.

Pagosa Springs is surrounded by more than 3 million acres of national forest that offer ample opportunity to keep you entertained. Drive down for dinner, soothe your muscles in the hot springs, float/kayak/hike down the San Juan River, golf, balloon rides, horseback riding, or just take a stroll down the streets to shop.
There are places to rent mountain bikes, fishing supplies, and more outdoor equipment. The San Juan river runs through town and offers world-class trout fishing.
*hunters welcome!*

Long term renters- if you’re interested in renting the cabin during the winter months please message me and we can work this out. 2 week- Month long minimum stay and must have a snowmobile for access.

Fall Foliage
Arrived after dark and the road is winding and very dark, but the directions were great. The valley is beautiful and only a mile from Four Mile trailhead and the trail to the falls. Very friendly people living in the valley.

Peaceful place to stay!
We loved the peace and quiet. We made friends with the squirrel on the backporch. We named him Taz and had him on our lap by the end of our stay, so bring some Cheez-Its.

Beautiful location
Loved the location and peacefulness of the house. Drive up was gorgeous and the property itself was wonderful and just what we were looking for! We loved walking around the property and area. Will stay again if in the area.
